The earthy texture plays off the glazed finish of the custom cabinetry and the smooth dark granite countertops to create visual interest. Whimsical classical patterned tiles behind the range and the perimeter walls, coordinated to the sun-kissed brick walls, serve as a dramatic backdrop to the light-colored neutral cabinetry.
Tina Colebrook ArchitectThis renovation was for a family whose Kitchen is the heart of the home. The project goals were to create a warm, inviting space, comfortable for entertaining and every day use. Highlights of the Kitchen include the custom copper range hood and copper backsplash, beautiful distressed cream cabinetry and a built-in banquette overlooking the Magothy River.

The 2” thick walnut island top with a beautiful ogee edge, ties the weight of the heavy rustic beams that line the ceiling of the adjacent keeping room. It easily handles all prep work and landing zone for tasks near the refrigerator & ovens.
Classic subway tile for the backsplash, beadboard wainscot, and French revival handles and knobs were chosen to add to the eye-catching old world design.

A paneled cabinet facing covers the front of the refrigerator so it matches the rest of the kitchen cabinetry. Notice the woodwork surrounding the wine refrigerator so it looks like it is a part of the cabinet. Every detail was considered in building this beautiful new kitchen.
Le Gourmet Kitchen Ltd.The clients engaged Le Gourmet Kitchen to design a kitchen that complemented their Mediterranean Styled home. The key was to provide a setting conducive to cooking along with ample countertops for entertaining. The kitchen was small in comparison to the rest of the home so opening the kitchen to the family room created a Great Room and increased visual space. The existing floor plan still lacked the room to incorporate everything the clients requested.
The original plan featured a walk in and Butler’s pantry adjacent to the kitchen. We integrated these areas to increase the square footage. This required removing a structural sheer wall and engineering a sizable steel beam with posts to carry the load. These were concealed inside the mantel hood and opposing pantry cabinets. The added space gave us the area needed to provide the family the kitchen they desired.
The featured S/S and glass fronted appliances balance the environment, whilst the wood counters softens the room and provides a great food preparation surface. The seating area incorporates tambour doors, when opened reveal everything necessary to pay bills, do homework or select a recipe for tomorrow’s dinner. The elevated counter is decorated regularly for holiday themes and also conceals the cleanup area.
