Visbeen ArchitectsThe best of past and present architectural styles combine in this welcoming, farmhouse-inspired design. Clad in low-maintenance siding, the distinctive exterior has plenty of street appeal, with its columned porch, multiple gables, shutters and interesting roof lines. Other exterior highlights included trusses over the garage doors, horizontal lap siding and brick and stone accents. The interior is equally impressive, with an open floor plan that accommodates today’s family and modern lifestyles. An eight-foot covered porch leads into a large foyer and a powder room. Beyond, the spacious first floor includes more than 2,000 square feet, with one side dominated by public spaces that include a large open living room, centrally located kitchen with a large island that seats six and a u-shaped counter plan, formal dining area that seats eight for holidays and special occasions and a convenient laundry and mud room. The left side of the floor plan contains the serene master suite, with an oversized master bath, large walk-in closet and 16 by 18-foot master bedroom that includes a large picture window that lets in maximum light and is perfect for capturing nearby views. Relax with a cup of morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the nearby covered patio, which can be accessed from both the living room and the master bedroom. Upstairs, an additional 900 square feet includes two 11 by 14-foot upper bedrooms with bath and closet and a an approximately 700 square foot guest suite over the garage that includes a relaxing sitting area, galley kitchen and bath, perfect for guests or in-laws.
Crystal Kitchen + BathWe wanted to showcase a fun multi-purpose room, combining a laundry room, pet supplies/bed and wrapping paper center.
Using Current frame-less cabinets, we show as much of the product as possible in a small space:
Lazy susan
Stack of 4 drawers (each drawer being a different box and glide offered in the line)
Pull out ironing board
Stacked washer and dryer
Clothes rod for both hanging clothes and wrapping paper
Open shelves
Square corner wall
Pull out hamper baskets
Pet bed
Tip up door

We also wanted to combine cabinet materials with high gloss white laminate upper cabinets and Spokane lower cabinets. Keeping a budget in mind, plastic laminate counter tops with white wood-grain imprint and a top-mounted sink were used.
mitchell holladay architectsTo increase storage at a small laundry room, the adjacent linen closet was split to provide an alcove for a rolling laundry basket. Blind sliding door hardware keeps the hallway minimal and clean.

Kitchen Design ConceptsThe laundry room was placed between the front of the house (kitchen/dining/formal living) and the back game/informal family room. Guests frequently walked by this normally private area.
Laundry room now has tall cleaning storage and custom cabinet to hide the washer/dryer when not in use. A new sink and faucet create a functional cleaning and serving space and a hidden waste bin sits on the right.
Gretchen LyonsCentered between the two closets we added a large cabinet for boot and shoe storage. There is nothing worse then dragging snow through your house in the winters. You can use the bench seat to remove your boots and store them here.

Barbara Stock Interior DesignThe laundry room is the hub of this renovation, with traffic converging from the kitchen, family room, exterior door, the two bedroom guest suite, and guest bath. We allowed a spacious area to accommodate this, plus laundry tasks, a pantry, and future wheelchair maneuverability.
The client keeps her large collection of vintage china, crystal, and serving pieces for entertaining in the convenient white IKEA cabinetry drawers. We tucked the stacked washer and dryer into an alcove so it is not viewed from the family room or kitchen. The leather finish granite countertop looks like marble and provides folding and display space. The Versailles pattern travertine floor was matched to the existing from the adjacent kitchen.
Du Bois Design LtdThis laundry was designed several months after the kitchen renovation - a cohesive look was needed to flow to make it look like it was done at the same time. Similar materials were chosen but with individual flare and interest. This space is multi functional not only providing a space as a laundry but as a separate pantry room for the kitchen - it also includes an integrated pull out drawer fridge.

Cabinet-S-TopIn this laundry room we reconfigured the area by removing walls, making the bathroom smaller and installing a mud room with cubbie storage and a dog shower area. The cabinets installed are Medallion Gold series Stockton flat panel, cherry wood in Peppercorn. 3” Manor pulls and 1” square knobs in Satin Nickel. On the countertop Silestone Quartz in Alpine White. The tile in the dog shower is Daltile Season Woods Collection in Autumn Woods Color. The floor is VTC Island Stone.
Nar Design GroupAdditional square footage from the garage was converted to create this multi-functional laundry & utility room that is layered with dedicated storage details throughout. The side-by-side washer and dryer are raised to a comfortable height for usage with ample storage above and below. A four compartment laundry sorting station below are large open countertop surface makes laundry no longer a chore. Hang dry items are placed on the stainless steel rod. Tall storage cabinets and a tall freezer house bulk items from the kitchen and other miscellaneous items.
