Leanne Michael L U X E lifestyle designAll custom made cabinetry that was color matched to the entire suite of GE Cafe matte white appliances paired with champagne bronze hardware that coordinates beautifully with the Delta faucet and cabinet / drawer hardware. The counter surfaces are Artic White quartz with custom hand painted clay tiles for the entire range wall with custom floating shelves and backsplash. We used my favorite farrow & ball Babouche 223 (yellow) paint for the island and Sherwin Williams 7036 Accessible Beige on the walls. Hanging over the island is a pair of glazed clay pots that I customized into light pendants. We also replaced the builder grade hollow core back door with a custom designed iron and glass security door. The barstools were a fabulous find on Craigslist that we became mixologists with a selection of transparent stains to come up with the perfect shade of teal and we installed brand new bamboo flooring!
This was such a fun project to do, even amidst Covid with all that the pandemic delayed, and a much needed burst of cheer as a daily result.
Metropolis Drafting and Construction IncOn a hillside property in Santa Monica hidden behind trees stands our brand new constructed from the grounds up guest unit. This unit is only 300sq. but the layout makes it feel as large as a small apartment.
Vaulted 12' ceilings and lots of natural light makes the space feel light and airy.
A small kitchenette gives you all you would need for cooking something for yourself, notice the baby blue color of the appliances contrasting against the clean white cabinets and counter top.
The wood flooring give warmth to the neutral white colored walls and ceilings.
A nice sized bathroom bosting a 3'x3' shower with a corner double door entrance with all the high quality finishes you would expect in a master bathroom.
The exterior of the unit was perfectly matched to the existing main house.
These ADU (accessory dwelling unit) also called guest units and the famous term "Mother in law unit" are becoming more and more popular in California and in LA in particular.
Robinson InteriorsA British client requested an 'unfitted' look. Robinson Interiors was called in to help create a space that appeared built up over time, with vintage elements. For this kitchen reclaimed wood was used along with three distinctly different cabinet finishes (Stained Wood, Ivory, and Vintage Green), multiple hardware styles (Black, Bronze and Pewter) and two different backsplash tiles. We even used some freestanding furniture (A vintage French armoire) to give it that European cottage feel. A fantastic 'SubZero 48' Refrigerator, a British Racing Green Aga stove, the super cool Waterstone faucet with farmhouse sink all hep create a quirky, fun, and eclectic space! We also included a few distinctive architectural elements, like the Oculus Window Seat (part of a bump-out addition at one end of the space) and an awesome bronze compass inlaid into the newly installed hardwood floors. This bronze plaque marks a pivotal crosswalk central to the home's floor plan. Finally, the wonderful purple and green color scheme is super fun and definitely makes this kitchen feel like springtime all year round! Masterful use of Pantone's Color of the year, Ultra Violet, keeps this traditional cottage kitchen feeling fresh and updated.
Olde Wood Ltd.This walnut wide plank flooring is cut from dead or fallen virgin wood timbers that are centuries old, walnut features a rich blend of coffee-colored browns with occasional touches of caramel from its light sapwood. It offers an extraordinarily tight grain pattern, sound knots and natural checking.

Border Oak LtdThe kitchen in this new build oak framed cottage was conceived to be light and informal - with a modern 'country' feel to reflect the village location. Craftsmanship and artisan detailing was important - to echo the handmade green oak frame structure of the house. Materials include oak worktops, quartz, limestone and rough Belgian linen. Lights were handmade in Herefordshire, Everhot supplied the oven and the kitchen units were made by DeVol Kitchens. Border Oak were responsible for the design and construction as well as the interior finishing and sourcing.
Shalford InteriorsCreated for a charming 18th century stone farmhouse overlooking a canal, this Bespoke solid wood kitchen has been handpainted in Farrow & Ball (Aga wall and base units by the windows) with Pavilion Gray (on island and recessed glass-fronted display cabinetry). The design centres around a feature Aga range cooker.
