株式会社 エムロード環境造形研究所高崎市中心街に位置しながら、代々継承されてきた見事な庭園のある広大な屋敷の中に、土蔵を残しつつ母屋を改築した二世帯住宅である。階段や玄関の設え、外観の趣など、これまでの家の良さを継承したいという年寄り世代の意見を重視しつつ、若い世代が望む現代建築の環境性能を十分に取り込んだ「エコ住宅」でもある。
Escaliers et agencement ZazouUn escalier d’accès à la mezzanine dans une chambre d'enfants.
Nous avons réussi à placer l'escalier dans un espace restreint, entre la porte et le radiateur, tout en préservant une bonne hauteur d'échapée, confort de montée et sécurité.

12/12 Architects & PlannersThis 1990s brick home had decent square footage and a massive front yard, but no way to enjoy it. Each room needed an update, so the entire house was renovated and remodeled, and an addition was put on over the existing garage to create a symmetrical front. The old brown brick was painted a distressed white.
The 500sf 2nd floor addition includes 2 new bedrooms for their teen children, and the 12'x30' front porch lanai with standing seam metal roof is a nod to the homeowners' love for the Islands. Each room is beautifully appointed with large windows, wood floors, white walls, white bead board ceilings, glass doors and knobs, and interior wood details reminiscent of Hawaiian plantation architecture.
The kitchen was remodeled to increase width and flow, and a new laundry / mudroom was added in the back of the existing garage. The master bath was completely remodeled. Every room is filled with books, and shelves, many made by the homeowner.
