Republic West RemodelingWhite laundry room took advantage of vertical space with a stacked washer and dryer to make room for plenty of storage, a folding area and sink.
Schryver Design LLCThree apartments were combined to create this 7 room home in Manhattan's West Village for a young couple and their three small girls. A kids' wing boasts a colorful playroom, a butterfly-themed bedroom, and a bath. The parents' wing includes a home office for two (which also doubles as a guest room), two walk-in closets, a master bedroom & bath. A family room leads to a gracious living/dining room for formal entertaining. A large eat-in kitchen and laundry room complete the space. Integrated lighting, audio/video and electric shades make this a modern home in a classic pre-war building.

The Kitchen PlaceA small 2nd floor laundry room was added to this 1910 home during a master suite addition. The linen closet (see painted white doors left) was double sided (peninsula tall pantry cabinet) to the master suite bathroom for ease of folding and storing bathroom towels. Stacked metal shelves held a laundry basket for each member of the household. A custom tile shower pan was installed to catch any potential leaks or plumbing issues that may occur down the road....and prevent ceiling damage in rooms beneath. The shelf above holds a steam generator for the walk in shower in the adjacent master bathroom.
Kandrac & Kole Interior Designs, Inc.This laundry room was tight and non-functional. The door opened in and was quickly replaced with a pocket door. Space was taken from the attic behind this space to create the niche for the laundry sorter and a countertop for folding.

Cabinet-S-TopIn this laundry room, Medallion Silverline cabinetry in Lancaster door painted in Macchiato was installed. A Kitty Pass door was installed on the base cabinet to hide the family cat’s litterbox. A rod was installed for hanging clothes. The countertop is Eternia Finley quartz in the satin finish.
Davina DesignsThis laundry room accommodates laundry, art projects, pets and more. We decided to stack the washer and dry to maximize the space as much as possible. We wrapped the counter around the back of the room to give the owners a folding table and included as many cabinets as possible to maximize storage. Our favorite part was the very fun chevron wallpaper.
Guthmann ConstructionThe built-ins hide the washer and dryer below and laundry supplies and hanging bar above. The upper cabinets have glass doors to showcase the owners’ blue and white pieces. A new pocket door separates the Laundry Room from the smaller, lower level bathroom. The opposite wall also has matching cabinets and marble top for additional storage and work space.
