This dining room, located in the Treme area in New Orleans was a delight to recreate. Here we used pieces from my client's former living and dining rooms as she downsized. We just added draperies, a custom light fixture, a pair of custom wall sconces and accessories.

This formal dining room was designed to entertain. Custom colored hand printed wall covering and coordinating fabric in sapphire and linen exude a grand yet playful vibe. The handmade drapery and table runner boast great attention to detail while softening the bold palette. Over scaled ginger jars and a tall sideboard balance the well proportioned room in this near century home.

A close-up of the lion carvings, metal handles, and handsome nailhead trim show why this oak antique dining chair (one of a set of 12) is a great match for our customer Susan's Renaissance dining room. The Belgian oak chairs date to 1900. Susan had the chair reupholstered in red leather.
