b. van heckeThis comfortable guest room was inspired by the art prints by Tom Thompson - one of the celebrated Canadian Group of Seven painters. We opted for rich textiles in combination with a vintage inspired bed frame. Black and brass are a wonderful combination and we are pleased with the result of adding warm brass tones into the space with high-quality wall mounted swing-arm lamps.

Tallon Perry InteriorsThe guest bedroom has one wall of pink textured wallpaper from Brian Yates and the remaining walls are white. This was to inject colour into the room but not to overpower it. This room is North facing and only gets the early morning sun so it was key to keep it light in afternoons. The pendants are controlled separately from each side of the bed. The furniture was the client's existing pieces.

Christopher Maya Associates Inc.The daughter wanted to be a princess, but her mom definitely didn't want it too sweet. Maya added the cabinets and paneled the wall behind the bed with beadboard. When you have a bed against a wall in a child's room, you are going to get tons of handprints on the walls because that is where all the kids are going to hang out. Beadboard can be easily wiped down. It was also a way of adding architecture to a room that was basically a plain box. The daughter might want completely different colors when she's a teenager, but now the bones of the room are in place, so she's all set.
Sai InteriorsFollowing the refurbishment of their kitchen, our Hemel Hempstead clients wanted us to give their daughters bedroom a budget makeover. She had trouble sleeping in her existing bedroom. Her brief was anything pink and she wanted her name on the wall. We sprinkled a little magic and she absolutely loved the results!
