Katie Rosenfeld DesignThis ocean-front shingled Gambrel style house is home to a young family with little kids who lead an active, outdoor lifestyle. My goal was to create a bespoke, colorful and eclectic interior that looked sophisticated and fresh, but that was tough enough to withstand salt, sand and wet kids galore. The palette of coral and blue is an obvious choice, but we tried to translate it into a less expected, slightly updated way, hence the front door! Liberal use of indoor-outdoor fabrics created a seamless appearance while preserving the utility needed for this full time seaside residence.

Lenox House DesignAlder beams follow a vaulted ceiling in the husband's office. The douglas fir wood floor was reclaimed from the original cottage on the property - it was in beautiful shape! The stove was the only heating element in the cottage and was added to this room for decor only. All furniture was hand crafted by the home owner's uncle for the old cottage.
Inviting Home IncArchitects were once skilled draftsmen and graceful calligraphers, able to draw a crisp and perfect line on virgin drafting stock. They worked at a classic architect’s desk crafted of precious woods, with an adjustable work surface tilted to an individualized angle. Usually they would stand, lounge, and lean on the tall desk, discarding the chair or replacing it with a tall, narrow stool.
In our day and age, we have done away with the standing desk. We hammer away at keyboards for days on end, slumped in a desk chair. Actually, a recent scientific study showed that working at a standing desk all day equals the exercise provided by a robust morning workout.

Jana Dahl DesignThis workout room makeover became man-cave/office/study/ captains quarters! Complete with private bar, TV, fireplace and commanding views of lake, patio, and now the east side yard. Meticulous thought went into every detail.
Everything HomeA neutral color palette punctuated by warm wood tones and large windows create a comfortable, natural environment that combines casual southern living with European coastal elegance. The 10-foot tall pocket doors leading to a covered porch were designed in collaboration with the architect for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Decorative house accents including stunning wallpapers, vintage tumbled bricks, and colorful walls create visual interest throughout the space. Beautiful fireplaces, luxury furnishings, statement lighting, comfortable furniture, and a fabulous basement entertainment area make this home a welcome place for relaxed, fun gatherings.
