The office was adorned with rich grass cloth, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
A custom-made floating desk with custom corbels and Quartzite countertop was installed, along with reading space and floating shelves.
The addition of custom windows and alder window trim enhanced the aesthetic of the room.
The design allowed for versatile use as both an office and a music room.
Kathy Kuo Designs IncThe goal of any office design is to make the space as productive and functional as it is comfortable and beautiful. Therefore, we made sure to fit a full desk into this space complete with drawers and trays perfect for organization. With so much natural sunlight shimmering in through the window treatments of this coastal home, placing the desk right in front of the sunshine was an absolute must. The feminine and sophisticated look of our Oriana shagreen desk serves as the perfect hero piece, bringing a classic touch to the office while maintaining the coastal design style.
Amna B InteriorsA plain space with a desk was transformed into this beautifully functional home office and library, complete with a window seat and tons of storage.
Eden LA Furniture and InteriorsA happy east coast family gets their perfect second home on the west coast.
This family of 6 was a true joy to work with from start to finish. They were very excited to have a home reflecting the true west coast sensibility: ocean tones mixed with neutrals, modern art and playful elements, and of course durability and comfort for all the kids and guests. The pool area and kitchen got total overhauls (thanks to Jeff with Black Cat Construction) and we added a fun wine closet below the staircase. They trusted the vision of the design and made few requests for changes. And the end result was even better than they expected.

Custom sofa bed made locally in LA.
Reico Kitchen & BathMistie Liles of Reico Kitchen and Bath in Raleigh, NC collaborated with Frank McLawhorn to design a coastal inspired pantry, laundry and office featuring a combination of Merillat Classic and Merillat Basics cabinetry.
The designs for the laundry, pantry and office blend the Merillat Classic Marlin door style in a Cotton finish with the Merillat Basics Collins Birch door style in Cotton. The countertops in the laundry and pantry area are solid wood Maple Butcher Block.
