The dark, navy blues complimented by red tones, striped patterns and brown accents creates a nautical style to this bedroom.

This surf themed beach bunk room is the perfect kid's room. The custom bunkbeds are white paneling with teak rails and ladders. The blue bedding is Martha Stewart in a palms pattern. The walls are recycled teak boatwood and the old surfboard that hangs on the wall was shaped on the North Shore of Kauai. The blue rug is West Elm and the white modern dresser is CB2. The white walls and trim make for a fresh and bright space. The woven blinds compliment the teak detailing and beach aesthetic.
Rollins Andrew Interiors
1950's mid-century modern beach house built by architect Richard Leitch in Carpinteria, California. Leitch built two one-story adjacent homes on the property which made for the perfect space to share seaside with family. In 2016, Emily restored the homes with a goal of melding past and present. Emily kept the beloved simple mid-century atmosphere while enhancing it with interiors that were beachy and fun yet durable and practical. The project also required complete re-landscaping by adding a variety of beautiful grasses and drought tolerant plants, extensive decking, fire pits, and repaving the driveway with cement and brick.

The residence received a full gut renovation to create a modern coastal retreat vacation home. This was achieved by using a neutral color pallet of sands and blues with organic accents juxtaposed with custom furniture’s clean lines and soft textures.

With the lower ceilings in this cottage basement we had to figure out how to maximize the bunk space without banging heads. This box mount on the floor solution did the trick. The column adds support and makes the bunks appear to be floating. The stained wood ladders that become safety rails are just one more detail that the builder and his sons added to the mix.

Whereas the Winterberry model home’s living room showcases light ocean blues and sandy whites, the guest bedroom focuses on vibrant tropical greens. Paisley linens are reinvented to work within this coastal design theme – and brilliantly, we might add!
Drumm Design Remodel
This project involved adding a walk-in closet at the end of the bedroom. New upgraded baseboard and crown moulding were also installed. Ceiling speakers were also added as part of a whole home AV upgrade.
