Walczak Design And BuildIt had been decades since this home had been updated and the new, young homeowners were eager to make it their own.
They came to us with a very clear vision for a crisp, clean, bright, white kitchen with classic finishes and straight lines and we were happy to bring it to life.
In order to execute the final design and floor plan, we removed a bedroom from the first floor, more than doubling the size of the kitchen's footprint.
The new kitchen features white shaker, semi custom cabinetry, black hardware, all new appliances, new windows, refinished white oak floors, white ice granite countertops, an apron front sink, live edge subway tile and a marble mosaic accent behind the cooktop.

Create Good SinksApron front workstation sinks bring the action closer to you. Our 37 inch workstation sink is pictured here with our utensil board and stainless steel roll mat. You can use the utensil cups for drying hand-washed utensils, or for setting them up with a buffet. Here you can see a great shot of our patented seamless drain and half inch radius corners. Our sinks are hand-crafted and built for utility and luxury.
Carrie JohnsonHomeowners aimed to bring the lovely outdoors into better view when they removed the two 90's dated columns that divided the kitchen from the family room and eat-in area. They also transformed the range wall when they added two wood encasement windows which frame the custom zinc hood and allow a soft light to penetrate the kitchen. Custom beaded inset cabinetry was designed with a busy family of 5 in mind. A coffee station hides behind the appliance garage, the paper towel holder is partially concealed in a rolling drawer and three custom pullout drawers with soft close hinges hold many items that would otherwise be located on the countertop or under the sink. A 48" Viking gas range took the place of a 30" electric cooktop and a Bosch microwave drawer is now located in the island to make space for the newly added beverage cooler. Due to size and budget constaints, we kept the basic footprint so every space was carefully planned for function and design. The family stayed true to their casual lifestyle with the black honed countertops but added a little bling with the rustic crystal chandelier, crystal prism arched sconces and calcutta gold herringbone backsplash. But the owner's favorite add was the custom island designed as an antique furniture piece with the essenza blue quartzite countertop cut with a demi-bull stepout. The kids can now sit at the ample sized counter and enjoy breakfast or finish homework in the comfortable cherry red swivel chairs which add a pop to the otherwise understated tones. This newly remodeled kitchen checked all the homeowner's desires.
H2 Design StudioA few tweaks to this already well built kitchen, refreshed the space and solidified the Arts & Craft theme carried throughout the space. A change to the pantry wall provided better and increased storage and countertop space and a new island created finely tuned symmetry to the layout. Combned with new cabinet hardware and modern chevron backsplash, the updated marble-look quartz countertops offer durability and a tailored sophisticated elegance.
Everything HomeOur Indianapolis studio gave this home an elegant, sophisticated look with sleek, edgy lighting, modern furniture, metal accents, tasteful art, and printed, textured wallpaper and accessories.

Inscope Management Services LtdDesign, plan, supply and install new kitchen. Works included taking the the room back to a complete shell condition. The original Edwardian structural timbers were treated for woodworm, acoustic insulation installed within the ceiling void, wall to the garden lined with thermal insulation. Radiator and position changed.
The original internal hinged door was converted to a sliding pocket door to save space and improve access.
All the original boiler pipework was exposed and interfered with the work surfaces, this has all been reconfigured and concealed to allow unhindered, clean lines around the work top area,
The room is long and narrow and the new wood plank flooring has been laid diagonally to visually widen the room.
Walls are painted in a two tone yellow which contrasts with the grey cabinetry, white worksurfaces and woodwork.
The Strada handleless cabinets are finished in matte dust grey and finished with a white quartz work surface and upstand
New celing, display and undercabinet and plinth lighting complete this bright, very functional and revived room.
