瀧浩明建築計画事務所/studio blank久々な実作は、設計者の実家の建て替えで、2戸の賃貸長屋となります。構想段階から実に4年が費やされた苦心作で、コロナの品不足、ウッドショックを乗り越えて完成しました。
立方体の吹抜けを持つ2つの住戸は背中合わせに対称なプランとなっています。吹抜け部の階段手すりは黒い正方形の壁となっていて、その存在感を示します。
立方体の空間上部はギザギザの形をしたトップライトとなっていて、北側からの光が年間を通して安定して取り込まれます。
リビングの床はコンクリートの土間となっていて、玄関は存在しません。通常の住居以外にも、作業場、オフィス、アトリエ、スタジオ、ギャラリー、教室、カフェなど多様な用途に対応できる場所としています。

We zijn verheugd om ons nieuwste project in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid te onthullen - een tijdloze schat, oorspronkelijk ontworpen in 1890 door de beroemde architect Jacob Klinkhamer. We omarmen de rijke geschiedenis van dit vooraanstaande huis en hebben het omgetoverd tot een gastvrije en eigentijdse woning, zorgvuldig afgestemd op de behoeften van zijn nieuwe gezin.
Met behoud van het erfgoed en de schoonheid van de straatgevel, die de status van beschermd gemeentelijk monument heeft, hebben we ervoor gezorgd dat er slechts kleine aanpassingen werden doorgevoerd om de historische charme te behouden. Achter de elegante buitenkant wachtte echter een uitgebreide renovatie van het interieur en een structurele revisie.
Van het verdiepen van de keldervloer tot het introduceren van een liftschacht, we hebben geen middel onbeproefd gelaten bij het opnieuw vormgeven van deze ruimte voor het moderne leven. Elk aspect van de indeling is zorgvuldig herschikt om de functionaliteit te maximaliseren en een naadloze stroom tussen de kamers te creëren. Het resultaat? Een harmonieuze mix van klassiek en eigentijds design, die de geest van het verleden weerspiegelt en het comfort van vandaag omarmt.
Het kroonjuweel van dit project is de toevoeging van een prachtig modern dakterras, dat een adembenemend uitzicht op de skyline van de stad biedt en de perfecte plek is voor ontspanning en entertainment.

Francesco Pierazzi ArchitectsFPArchitects have restored and refurbished a four-storey grade II listed Georgian mid terrace in London's Limehouse, turning the gloomy and dilapidated house into a bright and minimalist family home.
Located within the Lowell Street Conservation Area and on one of London's busiest roads, the early 19th century building was the subject of insensitive extensive works in the mid 1990s when much of the original fabric and features were lost.
FPArchitects' ambition was to re-establish the decorative hierarchy of the interiors by stripping out unsympathetic features and insert paired down decorative elements that complement the original rusticated stucco, round-headed windows and the entrance with fluted columns.
Ancillary spaces are inserted within the original cellular layout with minimal disruption to the fabric of the building. A side extension at the back, also added in the mid 1990s, is transformed into a small pavilion-like Dining Room with minimal sliding doors and apertures for overhead natural light.
Subtle shades of colours and materials with fine textures are preferred and are juxtaposed to dark floors in veiled reference to the Regency and Georgian aesthetics.
Reverse ArchitectureThe townhouse is the end unit of 4 houses built in the same style in the 1970's. The green panels were restored to match the original design where each unit had a different feature color.

Studio HillierThe large areas of glass on the back elevation of the homes invites the views of the trees into the living areas.
Atelier OseJouant avec les reflets de lumière, la nouvelle peau de zinc Azengar de cette maison traditionnelle initie un dialogue subtil avec son environnement, et lui donne un second souffle. À l’occasion de travaux de rénovation énergétique et de surélévation, le choix de ce matériau est rapidement apparu comme une évidence. À la fois noble et pérenne, utilisable aussi bien en bardage qu’en toiture, l’exploitation de son potentiel a permis un traitement fin des détails de retournement pour créer une enveloppe continue, comme un écrin. La teinte Azengar, douce et naturelle, en plus de réfléchir le contexte, est sensible aux variations d’ambiances et change légèrement de coloration au gré des conditions météorologiques.
L’étage est entièrement isolé par l’extérieur, et la modification de charpente côté Nord dégage un nouvel espace, qui est totalement réaménagé. Ce dernier est redivisé en deux parties : la plus importante fait office de salle multimédia (pour le sport, les jeux et l’installation d’un home cinema), tandis que l’autre est transformée en une chambre d'amis d'environ 17 m². Plus qu’une simple séparation, l’élément épais qui les délimite est un véritable meuble intelligent : intégrant tantôt des étagères, tantôt une kitchenette, l’accès à la salle-de-bains ou encore des placards, il répond à de nombreuses fonctions, toutes regroupées en un unique bloc sculpté par les usages. Bien identifiable, en pin maritime contreplaqué, il structure l’espace et lui donne une atmosphère chaleureuse.
Afin de rendre de rendre l’accès à la chambre d’ami indépendant, un escalier extérieur en métal à deux volées est créé dans le prolongement de l’escalier existant en béton. Orientés plein Sud sur la rue, les panneaux photovoltaïques et les grands Velux exploitent au maximum les apports solaires. Côté jardin au Nord, un ensemble de fenêtres fixes et coulissantes en aluminium occupe quant-à-lui toute la largeur de la partie surélevée, offrant au regard la contemplation d’un paysage boisé.
