The design brief for this property was specific - upscale student meets single professional. The space can be easily adapted and cleaned and included; low-pile, stain resistant carpet; scrubbable wall paint; low maintenance, aqua plank vinyl flooring and Scandinavian furnishing, encompassing classic plastic elements. Together, mixed with Mid-century modern decor, this property has become a pleasing space to both focus on studies and live with flexibility, allowing either students of professionals to add their personal style. Keeping within a specified budget, the house sparks interest by using mustard and grey colour blocking; LED pendants; a chalkboard painted wall; tan faux-leather stools; staggered Herringbone gloss tiles; a photography gallery wall, and brushed brass finishings on cupboards, handles and light fixtures. With my client, we have completely renovated this 4 bed, 3 bath from it’s studs to a fit-for-purpose investment.
Cour Interior DesignA complete overhaul of a spare bedroom was requested by clients, who felt that the room had turned into an office / music room. Return it to its former purpose meant a relocation of precious instruments, but it also provided an opportunity to completely start afresh.
With dual easterly and westerly aspects the room welcomed neutral warm fresh tones. Farrow and Ball’s Elephant’s Breath was applied to the ceiling and walls to bring the scheme in together, as well as to pick out the coving details in white. The use of neutral colours was continued into the quality new carpet from Global Flooring Studio, with wooden white blinds from Shuttercraft echoing the coving.
Barker and Stonehouse furniture was carefully selected to complement the scheme requested, with a splash of warm colour injected with an eye catching footstool and bespoke cushions from Furniture Clinic.
Some sparkle was brought to the party via some stunning lights from Cotterell & Co. These incorporated glass discs in white, gold and toffee tones throughout the room, and their dimmable control will allow the clients to either have brightness or a feint shimmer depending on mood. A mellow and inviting space was required for guests and future guests will certainly feel most welcome.
TME Interiorswe created a really beautiful space here. keeping the vintage Heals wooden furniture was a classy touch by the client, and we were able to restore the wardrobes. Finding a colour scheme and some final touches helped bring it all together with the client's ideas
