A lovingly cared for mid-century home was very original, but not functional or with modern appliances. With a nod to the bones and heritage of the home, the new kitchen was designed with a retro feel. The pantry and fridge were relocated but the original footprint largely adhered too. The raked ceilings are original but the original kitchen was entirely removed. A servery window was added to easily access the al fresco area. The combination of black and wood grain cabinets with white countertops were designed for modern function, but copper door handles and smoke glass splashback add a retro feel.

La cucina a vista

This renovation in Hitchin features Next125, the renowned German range, which is a perfect choice for a contemporary look that is stylish and sleek and built to the highest standards. We love how the run of tall cabinets in a Walnut Veneer compliment the Indigo Blue Lacquer and mirrors the wide planked Solid Walnut breakfast bar. The Walnut reflects other pieces of furniture in the wider living space and brings the whole look together. The integrated Neff appliances gives a smart, uncluttered finish and the Caesarstone Raw Concrete worktops are tactile and functional and provide a lovely contrast to the Walnut. Once again we are pleased to be able to include a Quooker Flex tap in Stainless Steel. This is a fantastic living space for the whole family and we were delighted to work with them to achieve a look that works across both the kitchen and living areas.

A stunning 1909 in frame slab kitchen with a stand out slate island and dove grey wall units that work together with the natural light coming into the room. The island features a lovely bespoke book shelf with a quartz base that matches the worktops throughout the kitchen. It has been finished off with modern appliances, wooden cutlery trays and bold handles that work well with the clean linear style.
