Joni Spear Interior DesignFaced with the challenge of limited wall space, this primary bedroom had only one prospect for bed placement. Adjacent walls consist of a parade of windows paralleling a working fireplace. To achieve the cozy oasis desired, the walls were hand-painted with a horizontal brushstroke to cleverly resemble grass cloth. A custom-built headboard upholstered in a cut velvet fabric is a soft backdrop for the hydrangea-printed pillows. Brass swing-arm wall sconces free-up space on the petite bedside tables. A chenille covered settee nestles the foot of the bed and is flanked by a pair of turned-wood arm chairs. The ottoman wrapped in zebra print, hair-on-hide upholstery delivers a smidgeon of whimsy. The quaint retreat offers an elevated boutique-hotel ambiance at day's end for the happy homeowners.

The window view is of the many townhomes below the ridge and adding the sheer cafe curtains blurred the view while allowing the beautiful blue sky and distant mountain ridge be the focal. Using the client's existing chandelier that was once inthe dining room of her preivous home added the right elegant touch to this bedroom. the 12 ft ceilings needed a defination so we added additional molding avoe the window to accent a paint color that we also used in the ceilign tray center. upholtered headboard adds more elegance to this soft dreamy master bedroom. Lastly, we altered the existing drapery from her previous residence because she loved the fabric and didn't want to waste it and made the bed canopy and drapery by adding an accent fabric. The door to the bathroom was a problem so we designed a hidden hardware rolling door instead of a sliding barn door. its is perfect and we added mirror in the side lights to reflect the view while providing privacy for the bathroom.

Il soggetto ricorda vagamente i dipinti giapponesi: l’impeto dell' onda del mare con uccelli che volano accanto ad un sole luminoso. Il letto in tesuto in tinta con la carta. L’illuminazione di questa camera è a faretti nella parte centrale e puntuale sulla parete del letto con luci a comodino a sospensione.
