This brick veneer wall is homage to the brick fireplace the homeowner demolished. In it's place, we created a beautiful two sided modern fireplace design and re-created the brick in the dining room area to add depth and texture.

Goals
Our clients desired to simply update their home with a modern, open feel while adding more natural light to the space.
Our Design Solution
By taking down the wall between the dining room and living room and adding a bump out in the kitchen, the space opened up dramatically and the room was flooded with natural light. In addition to replacing the kitchen cabinets and counters, we added a long horizontal window to give a unique modern element as well as let more light in.

The dining room was enlarged. Two windows were replaced with new French doors to better access the adjacent patio. A small entry was added for guest arrival. A salvaged wood beam separates the entry from the dining room.
Renovation and Construction Services
Double sided fireplace with crossvilles laminum tile for minimal grout lines and reclaimed mantles. Recessed outlets are installed on top of the mantle to provide plug in's for seasonal items. Seating area next to main living space.
Interior Changes home design & consulting
The open concept dining room centers on the main floor. Seating for 10 with ample room to grow to 14 or more is possible with this space. The paired pendant lanterns feel upscale without being fussy. This is a great place for a meal or any other family gathering.
