The dining space and walkout raised patio are separated by Marvin’s bi-fold accordion doors which open up to create a shared indoor/outdoor space with stunning prairie conservation views. A chic little pocket office is set just off the kitchen offering an organizational space as well as viewing to the athletic court to keep an eye on the kids at play.
ECHT-ARCHITECTS
Looking across the bay at the Skyway Bridge, this small remodel has big views.
The scope includes re-envisioning the ground floor living area into a contemporary, open-concept Great Room, with Kitchen, Dining, and Bar areas encircled.
The interior architecture palette combines monochromatic elements with punches of walnut and streaks of gold.
New broad sliding doors open out to the rear terrace, seamlessly connecting the indoor and outdoor entertaining areas.
With lots of light and an ethereal aesthetic, this neomodern beach house renovation exemplifies the ease and sophisitication originally envisioned by the client.
Simply Home Decorating
The new owners of this 1974 Post and Beam home originally contacted us for help furnishing their main floor living spaces. But it wasn’t long before these delightfully open minded clients agreed to a much larger project, including a full kitchen renovation. They were looking to personalize their “forever home,” a place where they looked forward to spending time together entertaining friends and family.
In a bold move, we proposed teal cabinetry that tied in beautifully with their ocean and mountain views and suggested covering the original cedar plank ceilings with white shiplap to allow for improved lighting in the ceilings. We also added a full height panelled wall creating a proper front entrance and closing off part of the kitchen while still keeping the space open for entertaining. Finally, we curated a selection of custom designed wood and upholstered furniture for their open concept living spaces and moody home theatre room beyond.
This project is a Top 5 Finalist for Western Living Magazine's 2021 Home of the Year.

Rogan Nash Architects Ltd
This new house in Westmere was designed by Rogan Nash Architects. Much like a family, the design focuses on interconnection. The kitchen acts as the lynchpin of the design – not only as a metaphoric heart, but as the centre of the plan: a reflection of a family who have a passion for cooking and entertaining. The rooms directly converse with each other: from the kitchen you can see the deck and snug where the children play; or talk to friends at the sofa in the lounge; whilst preparing food together to put on the dining table.
Paxton Place Design
This informal dining room is the perfect place to entertain family and guests alike. The dark-colored large dining table and wicker chairs stand out against the cream-painted walls and ceiling. The ceiling is shiplapped to add texture and dimension to the space that is open to the kitchen. Top-down, bottom-up roman shades diffuse the natural light and add a natural element to the space.
Clark Richardson Architects
The dining room is bright and spacious with copious views of the exterior greenery.
La Crèmerie
L'intérieur a subi une transformation radicale à travers des matériaux durables et un style scandinave épuré et chaleureux.
La circulation et les volumes ont été optimisés, et grâce à un jeu de couleurs le lieu prend vie.
Brett D Karns Designs
This square dining room wasn't elongated so, a round table made sense. The drama is in the fixtures by Rejuvenation, the black ceiling with a ship lap design, herringbone floors and 8" baseboards. Also, all of the windows in the house are painted black wood from Marvin.
