GLYNNdesignbuildThis is a view from the kitchen island thru the Living Room below. The built-in bench is seating for a casual dining room table. The doors beyond pocket into the wall to the left allowing for a fully opened wall leading out to a balcony.
Wesley-Wayne Interiors, LLCA floating staircase and honey-onyx backlit fireplace separate the foyer without subtracting from the spacious design. Marble terrazzo insets in the polished flooring help define the dining area as rustic wood beams frame the kitchen.

Jane EllisonThis home in Napa off Silverado was rebuilt after burning down in the 2017 fires. Architect David Rulon, a former associate of Howard Backen, known for this Napa Valley industrial modern farmhouse style. Composed in mostly a neutral palette, the bones of this house are bathed in diffused natural light pouring in through the clerestory windows. Beautiful textures and the layering of pattern with a mix of materials add drama to a neutral backdrop. The homeowners are pleased with their open floor plan and fluid seating areas, which allow them to entertain large gatherings. The result is an engaging space, a personal sanctuary and a true reflection of it's owners' unique aesthetic.
Inspirational features are metal fireplace surround and book cases as well as Beverage Bar shelving done by Wyatt Studio, painted inset style cabinets by Gamma, moroccan CLE tile backsplash and quartzite countertops.

Keir TownsendIt is a common misconception that the fewer pieces of furniture and features you have in a space, the bigger it will look – this isn’t actually the case. The more zones and features you have the more it creates a perception of different areas within one room. The trick is not to have too many contrasts or palette juxtapositions but to use neutral tones in a variety of different textures and materials. A material that consists of layers of liquid metal and resin has been used to clad the fireplace surround, hand chiselled to create a crackled effect it has a textured appearance that is tactile and visually stimulating.
Keir Townsend has collaborated with Italian manufacturer Laurameroni on production of the copper coffee table; it features a unique process which involves applying patinated metal strips of different widths to furniture surfaces.
The velvet upholstered sofa has a matching ottoman which gives a feeling of expansive luxury and provides extra seating if required.
