The laundry has been created, to provide a separate space. On the left, appliances. On the center, large and clever shelves, with laundry hamper, niches, opened shelves. On the right, space for ironing table.

This dark, dreary kitchen was large, but not being used well. The family of 7 had outgrown the limited storage and experienced traffic bottlenecks when in the kitchen together. A bright, cheerful and more functional kitchen was desired, as well as a new pantry space.
We gutted the kitchen and closed off the landing through the door to the garage to create a new pantry. A frosted glass pocket door eliminates door swing issues. In the pantry, a small access door opens to the garage so groceries can be loaded easily. Grey wood-look tile was laid everywhere.
We replaced the small window and added a 6’x4’ window, instantly adding tons of natural light. A modern motorized sheer roller shade helps control early morning glare. Three free-floating shelves are to the right of the window for favorite décor and collectables.
White, ceiling-height cabinets surround the room. The full-overlay doors keep the look seamless. Double dishwashers, double ovens and a double refrigerator are essentials for this busy, large family. An induction cooktop was chosen for energy efficiency, child safety, and reliability in cooking. An appliance garage and a mixer lift house the much-used small appliances.
An ice maker and beverage center were added to the side wall cabinet bank. The microwave and TV are hidden but have easy access.
The inspiration for the room was an exclusive glass mosaic tile. The large island is a glossy classic blue. White quartz countertops feature small flecks of silver. Plus, the stainless metal accent was even added to the toe kick!
Upper cabinet, under-cabinet and pendant ambient lighting, all on dimmers, was added and every light (even ceiling lights) is LED for energy efficiency.
White-on-white modern counter stools are easy to clean. Plus, throughout the room, strategically placed USB outlets give tidy charging options.

Mud room, hobby space, home office AND laundry room, this spacious and creatively-clad room does it all! Herringbone tile floors and a custom 18-foot carpet tile runner allow for easy clean up when dogs and grandkids come in from rowdy play and there is plenty of storage for absolutely everything. This mudroom island is a storage spot for out of season outerwear and home office storage. Office and craft supplies have a home on this side of the island. The grey painted cabinets add depth and presence to the space.
Pinnacle Design & Remodeling
Referred by our client across the street, this project was one for the books!
It started out just as a laundry room, that then included the back garage entry, that migrated to the owner's suite, that then logically had to include the remaining powder that was located between the spaces.
For the laundry we removed the second powder bath on the main level, as well as a closet and rearranged the layout so that the once tiny room was double in size with storage and a refrigerator.
For the mudroom we removed the classic bifold closet and made it a built-in locker unit.
We tied the two spaces together with a tiled floor and pocket door.
For the powder we just did cosmetic updates, including a bold navy vanity and fun wallpaper.
Sweet Home of Mine
This room was completely gutted to add shelving and cabinetry for a large mudroom/laundry room. Since this room has an additional exterior door and walkway to the front of the home we wanted to create a "drop zone" for a busy family to unload everyday items and shoes out of the eye of guests. The home had a door that could be closed to contain the dirt that high traffic zones create and could be blocked off from being seen.
