Beach Cabinets, LLCArt filled breakfast nook with book matched cherry cabinetry and ash plank floors. Light boxes have a purpleheart marquetry strip and wrap around the entire kitchen and breakfast area.
BK Interior DesignPerched on a hilltop high in the Myacama mountains is a vineyard property that exists off-the-grid. This peaceful parcel is home to Cornell Vineyards, a winery known for robust cabernets and a casual ‘back to the land’ sensibility. We were tasked with designing a simple refresh of two existing buildings that dually function as a weekend house for the proprietor’s family and a platform to entertain winery guests. We had fun incorporating our client’s Asian art and antiques that are highlighted in both living areas. Paired with a mix of neutral textures and tones we set out to create a casual California style reflective of its surrounding landscape and the winery brand.

We love the interplay between the kitchen cabinets and restored mahogany panel walls & doors- one picks up where the other leaves off.
The floor tone also changed as we evaluated the new/restored mahogany finish, and in relation to white walls; we chose a medium dark brown to provide contrast with both finishes and help ground the palette.

12/12 Architects & PlannersThe Dining room, while open to both the Kitchen and Living spaces, is defined by the Craftsman style boxed beam coffered ceiling, built-in cabinetry and columns. A formal dining space in an otherwise contemporary open concept plan meets the needs of the homeowners while respecting the Arts & Crafts time period. Wood wainscot and vintage wallpaper border accent the space along with appropriate ceiling and wall-mounted light fixtures.
Clear Home Designin this art deco inspired dining room, we covered the walls in a pumpkin grasscloth and gold leafed the ceiling and crown moldings. the furniture if vintage French art deco and is made of rosewood. the French deco original dining chairs are upholstered in a saddle leather.
NICHEdgThe dining area was a small nook open to the kitchen and living room areas. Therefore, we decided to incorporate visually weightless pieces and used a striking glass top Mid-Century table combined with acrylic Eiffel chairs. The industrial metal artwork (our client's original piece) adds a bit of edge and compliments the dining selections beautifully. We always try to incorporate art, decor and/or furnishings into the design, whenever possible.
