Moss Boss StudiosRecycled railway sleepers with Corten detailing (put together by our skilled team of craftsmen) were the answer to this client's request for a unique letterbox as part of their landscape design. The hard materials are softened by mounded Zoysia Grass ground cover.
Cross Construction Inc.This Del Mar outdoor oasis was designed by SJS Studios Inc. and built by Cross Construction. It showcases a custom built-in teak bench that surrounds a custom concrete / teak table that can transform into a firepit at night. The built-in grill integrates teak with terrazzo countertops that have a waterfall edge and beautiful custom tiles that give the space a unique and coastal vibe. The handmade tile is installed in the custom bench pulling the whole space seamlessly together. The trash enclosure features custom teak work with a copper lid and hardware that will patina over time. This amazing outdoor space, features quality craftsmanship and maximizes every corner to provide the homeowners with not only an outdoor coastal oasis but a functioning outdoor area to lounge and host gatherings both throughout the day and night.

Boyce Design + Build The contemporary elements our clients desired are evident in the patio area with its large custom concrete slabs and modern slate chip borders. The impressive custom concrete fire pit is the focal point for the open patio and offers a seating arrangement with plenty of space to enjoy the company of family and friends.
Prassas Landscape Studio LLCThis large side yard in the Lakeshore Historic District was redeveloped into a natural woodland clearing. Stormwater from the roof has been directed through a steel runnel into a native rain garden where it replenishes the cistern for a bubbling stone fountain. Weathered concrete slabs act as a thread from a firepit seating area, across the rain garden to the rear yard. This additional garden has a lawn parking pad, extensive kitchen gardens and a custom-built garden shower for visits to the beach.

Growsgreen Landscape DesignThis space defines the hub of the garden, I placed it in the corner so it is central to the ADU and the dining area/access from the house. The BBQ is now part of the social space. The raised planter and walls all are functions of design but also reflect my solution for the many grading levels on the neighboring perimeter spaces as well as grading within the former space and act to create floating bench and BBQ moments I programmed in. The concrete plinth is for extra seating/food or plant displays.
