En vinkælder er for vinelskeren, der har plads til at dyrke sin hobby og lyst til ekstra luksus. Det er en sikker vinder hos dine gæster, når du skal hente en flaske fra din vinkælder. Det er det perfekte sted for din vinsamling, og udelukker samtidig ikke en almindelig vinreol i din stue eller køkken - tværtimod, så er det en mulighed for at gemme de bedste flasker under de mest optimale forhold, mens hverdagsvinen er let tilgængelig. Påtænker du at bygge din egen vinkælder, er det en god idé at starte med at undersøge de rette forhold for din yndlingsvin. Den optimale opbevaringstemperatur er noget af det vigtigste, men tænk også over belysning, vibrationer, og lugte - alt som noget, der kan påvirke vinen i dit vinrum.

Hvornår har jeg brug for en vinkælder?

De færreste får pludselig en samling, der kræver en hel vinkælder. Samlingen sniger sig typisk større lidt af gangen, og til sidst kan den nyeste flaske ikke længere være i vinreolen. Det er her, de fleste begynder at stille flaskerne i kælderen, fordi der ikke er plads andre steder. Så hvorfor ikke starte din vinkælder allerede der? Til at starte med, behøver du ikke investere mange ressourcer, men kan i stedet begynde med en ekstra vinreol i kælderen, så snart du har fundet eller indrettet et rum i til kælderen med gode forhold. I takt med at din samling vokser, kan du udvide lige så stille, og kun investere hvad du har brug for. Til sidst ender du med et helt vinrum, der har den perfekte temperatur og belysning for din vin.

Hvilket udstyr skal jeg have til min vinkælder?

Når du planlægger at indrette et kælderrum til dit vin, kan du begynde at tænke over hvad der skal være deri. Det første, og vigtigste er vinopbevaring, typisk i form af vinreoler eller vinskabe. Dem kan du få i alverdens design, farver, og materialer, så de passer den design og atmosfære du går efter. Du kan også overveje et vinkøleskab, hvis du foretrækker din vin afkølet, eller hvis du ikke kan holde temperaturen i rummet på det mest optimale. Hvis du har plads i vinkælderen, kan du også overveje en tom vintønde, der kan fungere som et bord. Indretning med brugte vintønder giver dig også mulighed for at invitere dine gæster på vinsmagning i de helt rigtige omgivelser.

Hvordan opbevarer jeg ellers vin?

De rette forhold sikrer, at vinen holder kvaliteten, så det er en god idé at overveje, hvordan du lagrer dine vinflasker. Temperaturen er et af de vigtigste elementer, og den helt optimale temperatur er omkring 10-12 grader. Det kan være svært at ramme, hvis du eksempelvis bor i lejlighed. Derfor kan du overveje at lave opbevaring i dit soveværelse i stedet for - det vigtigste at huske er, at vinen ikke tåler hurtige temperatursvingninger og direkte sollys.
