Francesco Pierazzi ArchitectsThe project sets out to remodel of a large semi-detached Victorian villa, built approximately between 1885 and 1911 in West Dulwich, for a family who needed to rationalize their long neglected house to transform it into a sequence of suggestive spaces culminating with the large garden.
The large extension at the back of the property as built without Planning Permission and under the framework of the Permitted Development.
The restricted choice of materials available, set out in the Permitted Development Order, does not constitute a limitation. On the contrary, the design of the façades becomes an exercise in the composition of only two ingredients, brick and steel, which come together to decorate the fabric of the building and create features that are expressed externally and internally.

Taking advantage of this 1.52 acre block of land in Beaumont Road Berwick, we designed a unique Architecture form that blends within the open surrounding leafy, hilly and relaxing site.
On the East side we have the private open space, the stone masonry wall juxtaposed with the long cantilevered rectangular form.
On the North, we proposed for an open Courtyard, where habitable rooms are placed surrounding the ornamental tree, allows for a good connection from external to interior and drenched with natural lights from the North.

Drewett WorksPositioned at the base of Camelback Mountain this hacienda is muy caliente! Designed for dear friends from New York, this home was carefully extracted from the Mrs’ mind.
She had a clear vision for a modern hacienda. Mirroring the clients, this house is both bold and colorful. The central focus was hospitality, outdoor living, and soaking up the amazing views. Full of amazing destinations connected with a curving circulation gallery, this hacienda includes water features, game rooms, nooks, and crannies all adorned with texture and color.
This house has a bold identity and a warm embrace. It was a joy to design for these long-time friends, and we wish them many happy years at Hacienda Del Sueño.

Moderne BuildersThe axis of the house was designed precisely to the point of the large boulder at the entry. It was also a way accentuate the emphasis of being dug into the landscape. The steps themselves were custom framed with steel to make the risers. Then, for the steps, I made a mix of decomposed granite and cement so that it was hold up better over time.
