Urban. City living meets relaxed sensuality. The home envisioned not as a physical Location but as a feeling. On the one hand, this kitchen is the embodiment of cool urbanity thanks to its clean lines and the choice of materials such as Aluminium and stainless steel. On the other hand, it also exudes sensuality, personality and emotion. The use of natural, warm oak makes this possible. Excitement guaranteed – not just in the materials used but also in the way the furniture elements are combined. Urban boasts a technical innovation in the shape of a new subconstruction frame which extends the excitement created on the surface right into the heart of the units. This is one more example of WARENDORF’s commitment to design and quality. Urban. Städtisches Leben trifft diskrete Sinnlichkeit. Das Zuhause nicht als physischen Ort, sondern als Gefühl verstehen. Diese Küche verkörpert einerseits Urbanität – ist sie doch geprägt durch klare Linien und eher kühle Materialien wie Aluminium und Edelstahl. Andererseits vermittelt sie gleichzeitig Sinnlichkeit, Persönlichkeit und Emotion. Möglich ist dies unter anderem durch die Integration von Eiche als warmes Naturprodukt. Für Spannung ist also gesorgt – übrigens nicht nur bei der Auswahl der Materialien, sondern auch bei der Kombination der Möbel. Als technische Neuerung enthält Urban eine neue Zarge, die die außen aufgebaute Spannung sogar bis in das Korpusinnere verlängert. Ein weiteres Beispiel für den hohen WARENDORF Designanspruch und das WARENDORF Qualitätsversprechen.

The scullery contains another fridge and a large, double sink, each located at the ends of a long benchtop that takes up the entire back wall. This benchtop provides plenty of workspace, plus more than enough room a full array of small appliances. Above, open shelving offers easy access to plates, glassware and cookbooks. Studio Uno is an unexpected sanctuary for our client Naomi, a full-time carer and mother. Lying behind an established Brunswick terrace, it takes the shape of a meticulously designed Dependent Persons Unit. Naomi lives with her adult daughter, who has very high support needs. The nature of their circumstances means that living together under one roof isn’t always feasible. Naomi needed a certified DPU that met a simple brief: a dismantlable but quality retreat with warm, robust materials and a calming ambience. We’ve packed as much enduring quality and thoughtful design as possible into a compact footprint. Carefully engineered, the dwelling’s lightweight structure and internal linings enable it to be readily disassembled, transported and rebuilt elsewhere. It replaces the fence at the site’s rear, with its upper mass leaning into one corner to minimise impact on the neighbours’ skyscape. Inside, blackbutt timber and hoop pine plywood dominate the palette to create a warm, low-contrast and relaxing environment. The ground floor features dual sliding doors connecting to the courtyard and laneway, with a versatile living area between for retreat, Naomi’s art practice and above all, peacefulness. Lining the wall is a simple kitchenette, cabinetry, and a clever door concealing the bathroom. A staircase leads to the loft bedroom above, made deliberately cosy and secluded by the dwelling’s tapered form. It’s punctured only by a small window to the lane and a skylight above, offering light and ventilation without compromising privacy.
