Our client was renovating a house on Sydney’s Northern Beaches so a light, bright, beach feel was the look they were after. The brief was to design a functional, free-flowing kitchen that included an island for practicality, but maintained flow of the space. To create interest and drama the client wanted to use large format stone as a splashback and island feature. In keeping with clean, uncluttered look, the appliances are hidden in a multi-function corner pantry with drawers. An integrated fridge adds to the neat finish of the kitchen. This stunning kitchen project in Dulwich perfectly balances timeless tradition and modern-day functionality. Designed with both elegance and practicality in mind, it showcases exquisite craftsmanship and thoughtful attention to detail throughout. The in-frame cabinetry features classic Shaker-style doors, constructed with an 18mm oak veneer carcass and finished with beech doors. Inside, solid oak dovetailed drawer boxes glide smoothly on soft-close runners, combining strength with luxury. All of the cabinetry has been painted in Pink Ground by Farrow & Ball - a soft, warm tone that brings a welcoming and subtly romantic feel to the space. Antique brass knobs and cup handles add a layer of traditional charm and timeless character. The worktops and splashback are finished in 20mm Calacatta Gold quartz, which adds a touch of luxury with its distinctive veining and polished finish while offering exceptional durability for everyday use. Premium appliances are seamlessly integrated, including a 90cm Fisher & Paykel American-style fridge freezer, a NEFF steam oven, a NEFF micro-combi oven, and an induction hob. A classic Butler sink paired with a Quooker tap enhances both style and function, while a Caple wine fridge positioned in the island makes entertaining a breeze. This is everything you need in a dream kitchen. Open planned and central to the living and entertaining areas. This kitchen has an added layer of texture and sophistication with the striking Caesarstone Excava benchtop, gables and splashback through to the timeless vertical panelling profile on the beautiful island front. It is perfectly balanced with the cabinetry and timber open shelving, bringing a warm element to the overall kitchen space.

This light and airy kitchen was painted in a Farrow and Ball green, with raised and fielded panels throughout . All the cupboards have adjustable shelves and all the drawers have a painted Farrow and Ball cock beaded face frame surround and are internally made of European oak set on hidden under mounted soft close runners. The island has a thick solid European oak worktop, while the rest of the worktops throughout the kitchen are green limestone with bull nosed edging and have a shaped upstand with a fine line inset detail just below the top. The main oven range is a Wolf with an extractor above it individually designed by Tim Wood with the motor set in the attic in a sound insulated box. Beside the large Sub-zero fridge/freezer there is a Gaggenau oven and Gaggenau steam oven. The two sinks are classic ceramic under mounted with a Maxmatic 5000 waste disposal in one of them, with Barber Wilsons nickel plated taps above. Designed, hand built and photographed by Tim Wood

This elegant, classic painted kitchen was designed and made by Tim Wood to act as the hub of this busy family house in Kensington, London. The kitchen has many elements adding to its traditional charm, such as Shaker-style peg rails, an integrated larder unit, wall inset spice racks and a limestone floor. A richly toned iroko worktop adds warmth to the scheme, whilst honed Nero Impala granite upstands feature decorative edging and cabinet doors take on a classic style painted in Farrow & Ball's pale powder green. A decorative plasterer was even hired to install cornicing above the wall units to give the cabinetry an original feel. But despite its homely qualities, the kitchen is packed with top-spec appliances behind the cabinetry doors. There are two large fridge freezers featuring icemakers and motorised shelves that move up and down for improved access, in addition to a wine fridge with individually controlled zones for red and white wines. These are teamed with two super-quiet dishwashers that boast 30-minute quick washes, a 1000W microwave with grill, and a steam oven with various moisture settings. The steam oven provides a restaurant quality of food, as you can adjust moisture and temperature levels to achieve magnificent flavours whilst retaining most of the nutrients, including minerals and vitamins. The La Cornue oven, which is hand-made in Paris, is in brushed nickel, stainless steel and shiny black. It is one of the most amazing ovens you can buy and is used by many top Michelin rated chefs. It has domed cavity ovens for better baking results and makes a really impressive focal point too. Completing the line-up of modern technologies are a bespoke remote controlled extractor designed by Tim Wood with an external motor to minimise noise, a boiling and chilled water dispensing tap and industrial grade waste disposers on both sinks.
