La camera da letto è un piccolo rifugio di stile e funzionalità, dove ogni dettaglio è stato studiato per unire eleganza e praticità. Il letto contenitore su piedini offre comfort e massimizza lo spazio di contenimento, mentre la parete della testata con color block blu crea un punto focale deciso, intenso e accogliente. Sospesa sopra la testata, una finta trave nasconde gli impianti e ospita lampadari pendenti, che diffondono una luce morbida verso il muro, creando un’atmosfera intima e scenografica. I comodini cilindrici iconici della Kartell aggiungono un tocco di colore e personalità, contrastando con la sobrietà degli armadi e del cassettone, progettati per ottimizzare ogni centimetro di contenimento senza appesantire visivamente lo spazio. All’ingresso della stanza, la libreria a vista accompagna lo sguardo, nasconde elegantemente la spalletta dell’armadio e introduce un ritmo visivo leggero e contemporaneo. La TV sospesa completa l’ambiente con discrezione. Il risultato è una camera accogliente e raffinata, dove i colori, le luci e le superfici dialogano tra loro, trasformando lo spazio in un rifugio intimo e funzionale.

Projet Guynemer Une chambre de service que nous avons transformée en tiny house sur les toits de Paris, face au jardin du Luxembourg, notre nouveau bébé minimaliste mais multi fonctions, rien ne manque ! La cuisine avec ses zelliges et sa vasque en marbre noir, comprend un frigo, une plaque, un four, un lave vaisselle et de grands placards de rangement. L’îlot cache la buanderie avec un lave linge séchant. Les deux tablettes rabattables permettent de profiter d’un côté dînatoire et d’un côté bureau, ou de dîner à deux et aux chandelles ;-) Derrière se cache une salle de bain avec sa porte miroir secrète qui permet de renvoyer la lumière, de démultiplier la sensation d’espace et les perspectives. Une grande douche à l’italienne, un meuble avec sa vasque en marbre noir elle aussi, des wc suspendus, un sèche serviette sculpture, comme une grande ! La verrière reprend le dessin de la fenêtre de toit en face, qui donne sur les toits de Paris. On peut admirer la Tour Eiffel en faisant sa toilette si on en a envie! Et quand on est à plusieurs, un store bambou permet de redonner son intimité à la pièce sans empêcher la lumière naturelle de passer. De l’autre côté de la pièce, très lumineuse car traversante avec une fenêtre coté cuisine et une fenêtre côté séjour / chambre, se déploie un ensemble de très belles menuiseries, qui composent une alcôve délicieuse, façon vanlife ultra luxe : sur une estrade, un grand lit deux places au matelas de qualité hôtelière, qui fait aussi canapé quand on reçoit : à gauche et à droite, deux tablettes peuvent même se déployer pour faire table basse, poser des verres, l’apéro ou un ordinateur (il y a des prises RJ45 partout où nécessaire). Quand elles sont refermées, ces tablettes font office de portes aux niches des deux grands placards sur mesure. Le premier contient le ballon d’eau chaude extra plat et ultra silencieux, une penderie, des étagères. De l’autre côté, une grande bibliothèque avec plusieurs tiroirs en partie basse. Elle se prolonge sur tout le mur jusqu’à l’entrée pour cacher le radiateur avec un placard ajouré dessiné par @projet_wabi_sabi , d’autres grandes étagères, deux autres grands placards dont l’un renferme la box, le compteur électrique et des prises pour le petit électroménager. En dessous, encore des grands tiroirs pour ranger plein de trucs. Et si on n’a pas tout casé avec tout ça, il reste un grand tiroir sous l’estrade et même une trappe secrète sous le matelas, façon coffre fort ! Les couleurs : un très joli beige doux et lumineux, du noir mat profond, le fauve du cuir et du cuivre, le caramel clair du bois et de l’osier. Studio Uno is an unexpected sanctuary for our client Naomi, a full-time carer and mother. Lying behind an established Brunswick terrace, it takes the shape of a meticulously designed Dependent Persons Unit. Naomi lives with her adult daughter, who has very high support needs. The nature of their circumstances means that living together under one roof isn’t always feasible. Naomi needed a certified DPU that met a simple brief: a dismantlable but quality retreat with warm, robust materials and a calming ambience. We’ve packed as much enduring quality and thoughtful design as possible into a compact footprint. Carefully engineered, the dwelling’s lightweight structure and internal linings enable it to be readily disassembled, transported and rebuilt elsewhere. It replaces the fence at the site’s rear, with its upper mass leaning into one corner to minimise impact on the neighbours’ skyscape. Inside, blackbutt timber and hoop pine plywood dominate the palette to create a warm, low-contrast and relaxing environment. The ground floor features dual sliding doors connecting to the courtyard and laneway, with a versatile living area between for retreat, Naomi’s art practice and above all, peacefulness. Lining the wall is a simple kitchenette, cabinetry, and a clever door concealing the bathroom. A staircase leads to the loft bedroom above, made deliberately cosy and secluded by the dwelling’s tapered form. It’s punctured only by a small window to the lane and a skylight above, offering light and ventilation without compromising privacy.

Hidden within a clearing in a Grade II listed arboretum in Hampshire, this highly efficient new-build family home was designed to fully embrace its wooded location. Surrounded by woods, the site provided both the potential for a unique perspective and also a challenge, due to the trees limiting the amount of natural daylight. To overcome this, we placed the guest bedrooms and ancillary spaces on the ground floor and elevated the primary living areas to the lighter first and second floors. The entrance to the house is via a courtyard to the north of the property. Stepping inside, into an airy entrance hall, an open oak staircase rises up through the house. Immediately beyond the full height glazing across the hallway, a newly planted acer stands where the two wings of the house part, drawing the gaze through to the gardens beyond. Throughout the home, a calming muted colour palette, crafted oak joinery and the gentle play of dappled light through the trees, creates a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. Upstairs, the landing connects to a formal living room on one side and a spacious kitchen, dining and living area on the other. Expansive glazing opens on to wide outdoor terraces that span the width of the building, flooding the space with daylight and offering a multi-sensory experience of the woodland canopy. Porcelain tiles both inside and outside create a seamless continuity between the two. At the top of the house, a timber pavilion subtly encloses the principal suite and study spaces. The mood here is quieter, with rooflights bathing the space in light and large picture windows provide breathtaking views over the treetops. The living area on the first floor and the master suite on the upper floor function as a single entity, to ensure the house feels inviting, even when the guest bedrooms are unoccupied. Outside, and opposite the main entrance, the house is complemented by a single storey garage and yoga studio, creating a formal entrance courtyard to the property. Timber decking and raised beds sit to the north of the studio and garage. The buildings are predominantly constructed from timber, with offsite fabrication and precise on-site assembly. Highly insulated, the choice of materials prioritises the reduction of VOCs, with wood shaving insulation and an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) to minimise both operational and embodied carbon emissions.

Ce projet de rénovation est sans doute un des plus beaux exemples prouvant qu’on peut allier fonctionnalité, simplicité et esthétisme. On appréciera la douce atmosphère de l’appartement grâce aux tons pastels qu’on retrouve dans la majorité des pièces. Notre coup de cœur : cette cuisine, d’un bleu élégant et original, nichée derrière une jolie verrière blanche.
