Pour cet hôtel 5*, j'ai proposé une oeuvre qui reprenne l'ADN du lieu. La renaissance d'un hôtel (cabaret du lion d'or) tel un phénix parcourant le monde. Les archipels du Lyon d'or, en feuille de cuivre, se détache sur un monde revé réalisé avec des cendres et du charbon.

The image captures a well-lit entrance hallway that exudes a sense of welcome and sophistication. A focal point in the space is the newly designed curved staircase leading down to the lower ground, which adds an architectural interest with its clean lines and the contrast between the white balustrade and the darker steps. To the left, a bench with floral upholstery provides a practical seating area by the window, which is dressed with a simple, elegant roman blind, allowing for both privacy and natural light. On the wall above the bench hangs a framed piece of art featuring a circular motif, which draws the eye and adds a pop of color to the otherwise neutral palette of the hallway. The floor is laid out in a herringbone pattern, and the crisp white walls are topped with detailed crown molding that speaks to the home's classic features. This entryway serves not only as an introduction to the home but also as an exhibition of the harmonious blend of traditional and modern design elements.

Our client had only a few requests, lots of green, lots of pattern and space for her vast collection of Antique Furniture & Art. With such an enthusiastic vision for only a wee little house, we decided to imagine the spaces as if they were in fact much larger than they are by using bold colours and dramatic pattern. A sophisticated, green scenic Chinoiserie Wallpaper by Mary Mcdonald immediately creates an unexpected sense of enchantment on entering, each room having its own unique colour scheme, favourite colours of the lady of the house. The one and only guest bedroom-come study, decorated with a day bed and sky high upholstered wall panels is every shade of green all at once. Classic Continental Antique Furniture, Mirrors & Lights coordinate elegantly with the English & French fabrics selected for their practicality and beauty. The master bedroom A narrow hall leads to an open living space and courtyard beyond, the Jasmine Room. Ocelot Wing Back Chairs, sisal carpets, indigenous artwork, antique furniture and unusual curios all work well together creating a very interesting interior.

We had such fun designing a space that’s not just aesthetically playful and vibrant, but also functional and comfortable for a young family. We loved incorporating lively hues, bold patterns and luxurious textures. What a pleasure to have creative freedom designing interiors that reflect our client’s personality.
