Hierdurch sieht man einerseits keine Fingerabdrücke, andererseits sind sie dadurch auch extrem unempfindlich gegen jede Form von Verschmutzungen. Die Arbeitsplatte ist mit schwarzem Linoleum beschichtet. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein natürliches Material, das nicht nur einer wundervolle Haptik hat, sondern ebenso robust ist wie Massivholz. Die Küchenrückwand ist mit einem ökologischem Wandwachs behandelt worden. Dieser hält sowohl Wasser als auch Fett ab sorgt für eine sehr leichte Reinigung der Wand. Alle Küchengeräte sind hinter Frontblenden unter der Arbeitsplatte untergebracht. Hierdurch wird die Optik der Küche an keiner Stelle durchbrochen und es sind keine unansehnlichen Elektrogeräte zu sehen. Der Einbauschrank an der Linken Seite enthält genug Stauraum für alles, was man in der Küche so braucht.

Sat in the heart of a charming Victorian terrace extension, The Eclectic Kitchen captures the joyful vibrancy of our client’s family life. The bespoke kitchen cabinets are a fusion of timbers, combining exposed plywood wall cabinets with warm oak base cabinets. In the centre sits a spectacular slatted kitchen island with a solid oak worktop, all hand built by our team of skilled makers in our workshop.

Recycled timber flooring has been carefully selected and laid to create a back panel on the island bench. Push to open doors are disguised by the highly featured boards. Natural light floods into this room via skylights and windows letting nature indoors.

What was once a confused mixture of enclosed rooms, has been logically transformed into a series of well proportioned spaces, which seamlessly flow between formal, informal, living, private and outdoor activities. Opening up and connecting these living spaces, and increasing access to natural light has permitted the use of a dark colour palette. The finishes combine natural Australian hardwoods with synthetic materials, such as Dekton porcelain and Italian vitrified floor tiles

Située en région parisienne, Du ciel et du bois est le projet d’une maison éco-durable de 340 m² en ossature bois pour une famille. Elle se présente comme une architecture contemporaine, avec des volumes simples qui s’intègrent dans l’environnement sans rechercher un mimétisme. Sometimes a project starts with a statement piece. The inspiration and centrepiece for this apartment was a pendant light sourced from France. The Vertigo Light is reminiscent of a ladies’ racing day hat, so the drama and glamour of a day at the races was the inspiration for all other design decisions. I used colour to create drama, with rich, deep hues offset with more neutral greys to add layers of interest and occasional moments of wow. The floor – another bespoke element – combines functionality with visual appeal to meet the brief of having a sense of walking on clouds, while functionally disguising pet hair. Storage was an essential part in this renovation and clever solutions were identified for each room. Apartment living always brings some storage constraints, so achieving space saving solutions with efficient design is key to success. Rotating the kitchen achieved the open floor plan requested, and brought light and views into every room, opening the main living area to create a wonderful sense of space. A juxtaposition of lineal design and organic shapes has resulted in a dramatic inner city apartment with a sense of warmth and homeliness that resonated with the clients.
