Mix of generations, styles and envies, welcome to a busy family home!
For the parents' delight, we created a chef's kitchen out of solid oak and painted in a period style.
For the young generation coming up through the house, we ensured the traditional was mixed with up to date technology.
For everyone to come together in this new space, the open plan kitchen was also designed to host the family dining room.

Tired of their former dark and pokey kitchen, the owners of this Cremorne kitchen enlisted the help of Art of Kitchens to brighten up the living space. This was achieved in a number of ways, most notably through the addition of an innovative custom-made splashback that runs the length of the cooking bench illuminating the space in natural light. This open plan kitchen features a stunning granite worktop which is matched with a tall splashback, creating a timeless elegant look. Wooden painted cabinets provide maximum storage and the classic kitchen is laid out to be both functional and comfortable. The extractor fan, integrated into the ceiling, together with fully integrated appliances, add the contemporary touch to this elegant, classical style of kitchen.

With its soft hues and natural warmth, The Redland Kitchen is a blissful sanctuary in the heart of this busy family home.
Featuring the Redland door, the slim frame creates elegant detailing and clean lines. The mellow aesthetic pairs painted cabinets with oak veneer, creating an organic and calming space.
The kitchen was designed to provide ample storage whilst keeping the room open to allow natural light to flood in. The long kitchen island is a multi-functional feature, providing additional storage and worktop space, while creating the perfect spot for family breakfasts or coffee catch-ups with friends.

Our client was undertaking a major renovation and extension of their large Edwardian home and wanted to create a Hamptons style kitchen, with a specific emphasis on catering for their large family and the need to be able to provide a large entertaining area for both family gatherings and as a senior executive of a major company the need to entertain guests at home. It was a real delight to have such an expansive space to work with to design this kitchen and walk-in-pantry and clients who trusted us implicitly to bring their vision to life. The design features a face-frame construction with shaker style doors made in solid English Oak and then finished in two-pack satin paint. The open grain of the oak timber, which lifts through the paint, adds a textural and visual element to the doors and panels. The kitchen is topped beautifully with natural 'Super White' granite, 4 slabs of which were required for the massive 5.7m long and 1.3m wide island bench to achieve the best grain match possible throughout the whole length of the island. The integrated Sub Zero fridge and 1500mm wide Wolf stove sit perfectly within the Hamptons style and offer a true chef's experience in the home. A pot filler over the stove offers practicality and convenience and adds to the Hamptons style along with the beautiful fireclay sink and bridge tapware. A clever wet bar was incorporated into the far end of the kitchen leading out to the pool with a built in fridge drawer and a coffee station. The walk-in pantry, which extends almost the entire length behind the kitchen, adds a secondary preparation space and unparalleled storage space for all of the kitchen gadgets, cookware and serving ware a keen home cook and avid entertainer requires.

Larder cupboard designed by Giles Slater for Figura. A large larder cupboard within the wall with generous bi-fold doors revealing marble and oak shelving. A workstation and ample storage area for food and appliances

Nature lover's Stuart and Joanne wanted their kitchen to reflect their love of nature and outdoors. Bi-fold doors help to physically connect the kitchen and garden whilst the green colour palette creates the relaxed, organic atmosphere they were hoping to achieve.

View of the whole kitchen. The island is painted in Valspar Merlin and has an oak worktop with an antiqued brass inlay. The stools are also oak. The base cabinetry is painted in Farrow & Ball Ammonite. The splashback behind the Aga cooker is also antiqued brass. The hanging pendant lights are vintage clear glass, chrome and brass. The worktop on the sink run is Nero Asulto Antique Granite. The floating shelves are oak.
