A modern coastal home with beautiful open plan living

Dans cet appartement familial de 150 m², l’objectif était de rénover l’ensemble des pièces pour les rendre fonctionnelles et chaleureuses, en associant des matériaux naturels à une palette de couleurs harmonieuses. Dans la cuisine et le salon, nous avons misé sur du bois clair naturel marié avec des tons pastel et des meubles tendance. De nombreux rangements sur mesure ont été réalisés dans les couloirs pour optimiser tous les espaces disponibles. Le papier peint à motifs fait écho aux lignes arrondies de la porte verrière réalisée sur mesure. Dans les chambres, on retrouve des couleurs chaudes qui renforcent l’esprit vacances de l’appartement. Les salles de bain et la buanderie sont également dans des tons de vert naturel associés à du bois brut. La robinetterie noire, toute en contraste, apporte une touche de modernité. Un appartement où il fait bon vivre !

La cuisine, lieu de partage et de convivialité, se métamorphose. Une banquette, douce par ses courbes et accueillante par son revêtement en chêne massif, se niche près de la fenêtre. C’est là que la table de salle à manger trouvera sa place.

A modern U-shaped kitchen featuring handleless white cabinets with integrated natural wood detailing at the edges. The quartz countertops provide a durable and clean surface, while the backsplash seamlessly matches the countertop material. Large windows flood the space with natural light, enhancing its bright and airy atmosphere. The tiled floor in a subtle grey diamond pattern adds visual interest without overwhelming the minimalist design.

This renovation included kitchen, laundry, powder room, with extensive building work.

Our clients are a young couple from Kent, who were extending their Victorian terrace in London. While the original property is full of quirky period features, the clean dimensions of the large, rectangular extension made the space ideal for one of our Modular Kitchens. We worked closely with our clients to select the cabinetry that best suited their needs, including a single door larder cupboard with built-in spice racks, two sets of pan drawers and a central island unit with plenty of storage. Traditional features such as the farmhouse sink and range cooker are in keeping with the character of the original property, while the client’s choice of a contemporary colour scheme simultaneously gives the space a funky, modern feel.

The Walton Barn project has undergone a large scale renovation including the main kitchen area where the clients wanted to create a classic contemporary kitchen with dining space for 4-6. As the barn renovation included a separate dining room, the clients preferred not to have another formal dining table in the kitchen so we designed this L-shape kitchen with an island incorporating banquette seating and the Langham table, providing an everyday dining area. Our clients wanted a new, spacious kitchen in their late Victorian property and asked us to design a ground floor side return extension. In addition to the kitchen extension, the clients asked us to draw up plans for a loft conversion which would include a new master bedroom with an en suite. Although the loft conversion was allowed under permitted development laws, full planning consent was needed for the kitchen extension. Lambeth is a notoriously tricky borough in which to secure planning consent, but with 20 years of experience working in the borough we secured planning approval for a side return extension. The extension incorporates a strip of frameless glass which runs from floor to ceiling at a right angle to the side of the house, ensuring maximum light penetration at all times of day.
