Another new design completed in Pascoe Vale South by our team.
Creating this home is an exciting experience, where we blend the design with its existing fantastic site context, every angle from forest view is just breathtaking.
Our Architecture design for this home puts emphasis on a modern Barn house, where we create a long rectangular form with a cantilevered balcony on 3rd Storey.
Overall, the modern architecture form & material juxtaposed with the natural landscape, bringing the best living experience for our lovely client.

A full home refurbishment and extension set within the De Beauvoir conservation area, the mid-terrace Victorian building was altered with much consideration given to natural light and experience of space.

Nestled within the vibrant and trendy London Borough of Hackney, this project showcases the transformative potential of architectural innovation on a constricted urban site. Faced with the challenges of rights to light, underground services, and the stringent regulations of a conservation area, EllisMiller expertly navigated these complexities to create a stunning modern three-storey residence with a basement.
The design philosophy prioritizes harmony with the surroundings, as the house discreetly sits behind a garden wall, rendering it almost invisible from the street. This thoughtful placement not only enhances privacy but also allows the residence to blend seamlessly into its urban context.
Inside, the home boasts light and airy spaces, with an open layout that invites natural light to flow freely. The concrete and timber structure is deliberately exposed throughout, celebrating the raw beauty of the materials. The interior finishes feature a subdued palette of natural materials, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that complements the modern aesthetic.
The exterior showcases high-quality, handmade bricks imported from Denmark, further enhancing the home’s refined character. This project stands as a remarkable example of what can be achieved when skilled architects collaborate to unlock the full potential of even the most challenging sites.
At EllisMiller, we believe that great design can thrive in any context, and this residence is a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation in architecture. Experience the beauty of this urban retreat, where thoughtful design meets the demands of modern living.

This is a complex, three level split high spec architectural house on a very steep site with tight constraints including geotechnical and structural issues. Clients have been caught out with a leaky home in the past and have gone for an absolute weather tight solution utilising steel framing and Hebel Flooring.

Overview
Loft addition, ground floor extension and remodelling.
The Brief
To enhance and extend the family home with a hi-spec interior and unique design throughout.
Our Solution
We decided to create a crisp space fitting in a wonderful kitchen by Roundhouse and focus on several key design features to realise an award-worthy scheme.
This project was longlisted for the New London Architecture Awards for 2017 and was part of an exhibition at The Building Centre on Store Street, London.
As is often the case we have planning considerations that drove the shape and setting out, we maximised the space added, specifically exhibited some of the otherwise hidden structure and added in acres of neat, concealed storage from front to back.
The clients’ taste and sense of modern style have led to an amazing interior with concrete topped kitchen, bespoke storage, a central fireplace and a flexible kitchen/dining/snug area off the courtyard garden.
We are so proud of this scheme.
