J Hill InteriorsThe Plaza Condominiums pursued J Hill Interior Designs to find a solution for a challenging lobby situation. The demographic of this condominium complex is very diverse, as was the design style of its HOA members. Moreover, there was existing furniture that needed to be incorporated into the design, all with budgets, and different design desires to keep in mind. The end product was fantastic with much great feedback. Kevin B Howard Architects, AIAThe living room opens to the edge of the Coronado National Forest. The boundary between interior and exterior is blurred by the continuation of the tongue and groove ceiling finish.

Cara McBroom, Licensed Interior DesignerThe ceiling was painted a pale yellow offset by the warm gray on the walls. The yellow on the ceiling ties together all the yellow hints in the design, and help mimic the large yellow area rug on the floor.
Janet Brooks DesignThe family room, including the kitchen and breakfast area, features stunning indirect lighting, a fire feature, stacked stone wall, art shelves and a comfortable place to relax and watch TV.

Archaeo ArchitectsThe clients wanted a “solid, old-world feel”, like an old Mexican hacienda, small yet energy-efficient. They wanted a house that was warm and comfortable, with monastic simplicity; the sense of a house as a haven, a retreat.
The project’s design origins come from a combination of the traditional Mexican hacienda and the regional Northern New Mexican style. Room proportions, sizes and volume were determined by assessing traditional homes of this character. This was combined with a more contemporary geometric clarity of rooms and their interrelationship. The overall intent was to achieve what Mario Botta called “A newness of the old and an archaeology of the new…a sense both of historic continuity and of present day innovation”.
K Two Designs, Inc.Clients who enlisted my services two years ago found a home they loved, but wanted to make sure that the newly acquired furniture would fit the space. They called on K Two Designs to work in the existing furniture as well as add new pieces. The whole house was given a fresh coat of white paint, and draperies and rugs were added to warm and soften the spaces.
Robeson DesignWith a neutral color palette in mind, Interior Designer, Rebecca Robeson brought in warmth and vibrancy to this Solana Beach Family Room rich blue and dark wood-toned accents. The custom made navy blue sofa takes center stage, flanked by a pair of dark wood stained cabinets fashioned with white accessories. Two white occasional chairs to the right and one stylish bentwood chair to the left, the four ottoman coffee table adds all the comfort the clients were hoping for. Finishing touches... A commissioned oil painting, white accessory pieces, decorative throw pillows and a hand knotted area rug specially made for this home. Of course, Rebecca signature window treatments complete the space.
