300 Year Old Farmhouse Restored and Brought Back to it's Beauty
The desire was to remove the ceiling to expose the original beams. However once accomplished, due to major irreparable staining of the beams, they were thoroughly cleaned and freshly painted white.
Exposing a portion of the chimney continued the desired design statement and provides a stunning historic mantel behind the bed.
The twin closets on either side of the bed were reconfigured and the hollow core doors replaced with period style board and batten to compliment the rest of the home.
Bursting with ancient beauty, original pumpkin pine floor boards were refinished after being smothered by threadbare carpet for decades.
