Alpenwood - Home Re-Build
We used pre-stained cedar shingles, all new combed face trim, combined with Alura Fibercement Siding with two toned rustic series all built on a rainscreen system. The new porch used to be a small solarium room on the left, with a leaking glass roof over a single solid door on the right. After installing two levels of long LVL Parallam Beams, and adding a new flat roof to create a covered entrance-porch, we installed new double doors with modern glass for the entrance door. Two new windows were installed above the porch roof, and the main bathroom was rebuilt on upper left by raising the roof, and installing new windows on the all new wall exterior. Its been an important weather sheltered gathering place for family and friends coming and going from the home. We finished the porch beam and post in a cedar with dark mahogany stain ... and the deckspace on the left out of the photo has a matching counterpoint.
