Meadowlark Design+BuildMeadowlark created a place to cuddle up with a good book. This custom home was designed and built by Meadowlark Design+Build in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

FORMA DesignThe double-sided steel fireplace with the back-to-back TVs acts as a divider of the long and narrow space into two more pleasing spaces. The Lounge features a leather sofa and lounge chair and a cocktail table, with the backdrop of an ebonized reclaimed wood sculptural wall. The soft curves of the overhead cove are lit with a strip LED light, while the ceiling within the cove is a white-on-white Venetian plaster finish.

Bill Fry Construction - Wm. H. Fry Const. Co.This is a rebuild of a Bay Area mid-century home. The floors are made of porcelain tile that looks like wood. The heating system is radiant heat which transfers heat better through tile than through hardwood. This stainless steel vertical fireplace burns ethanol fuel. The fireplace is by Ecosmart Fireplace: according to the Ecosmart website, "EcoSmart Fireplaces are fuelled by bioethanol, a renewable liquid fuel produced from agricultural by-products which burns clean - no smoke, no sparks, no fuss."
Cutting Edge Systems Corp.At the touch of a button, the Living Room transforms into an extraordinary home theater. The screen and projector magically descend from the ceiling into place. Just add the popcorn!

Hush HouseInspired by their Costa Rican adventures, the owners decided on a combination french door with screen doors. These open the Family Room onto the new private, shaded deck space.
POVEDA StudioEspacio abierto multidisciplinar que sirve de casita de invitados, zona de juegos o tertulia, lavadero... Un espacio de deshago familiar donde las premisas fueron: la luminosidad, armarios integrados y una zona amplia en la planta baja. Por eso, distribuimos el espacio para tener todo lo necesario en la zona baja, baño incluido. Y sobre la zona de armarios y baño, creamos un altillo para la zona de noche, de acceso a través de una escalera diseñada a medida de escalones alternos.
