This was our first personal Custom Home (our second is now under construction) and it functioned has Impluvium's Home / Office
I was the Architect and Owner and directed all aspects of design and construction
This was our personal + Impluvium's first personal Custom Home / Office. The design is actually a compromise between traditional and modern. We wanted to do a modern but our neighbor (another project of mine = Dinstell Residence) wanted to a French Country but I knew both styles would clash next to each other professionally - so we re-designed it as a Contemporary Craftsman with a Modern Interior.

My Home DesignerAfter landing to the upper floor from the double-curved floating staircase, you end up to vastly open space that glorifies the magnificence of the house with a massive skylight over the stairs. Double-sided fireplace devices the private family room with a wet bar from the rest of the space.
Pinnacle Design & RemodelingTschida Construction alongside Pro Design Custom Cabinetry helped bring an unfinished basement to life.
The clients love the design aesthetic of California Coastal and wanted to integrate it into their basement design.
We worked closely with them and created some really beautiful elements like the concrete fireplace with custom stained rifted white oak floating shelves, hidden bookcase door that leads to a secret game room, and faux rifted white oak beams.
The bar area was another feature area to have some stunning, yet subtle features like a waterfall peninsula detail and artisan tiled backsplash.
The light floors and walls brighten the space and also add to the coastal feel.
