Drewett WorksAdding a level of organic nature to his work, C.P. Drewett used wood to calm the architecture down on this contemporary house and make it more elegant. A wood ceiling and custom furnishings with walnut bases and tapered legs suit the muted tones of the living room.

J&J BuildingWhat an inviting great room. This kitchen/family room combo flows perfectly. The kitchen makes a statement with the flat panel medium wood cabinetry, huge center island/bar, and gorgeous multi colored glass tile backsplash. The contemporary light fixtures add another touch of the modern flare to this neutral palate, with white walls and very neutral multicolored ceramic tile.
Design Directives, LLCDesigned by architect Bing Hu, this modern open-plan home has sweeping views of Desert Mountain from every room. The high ceilings, large windows and pocketing doors create an airy feeling and the patios are an extension of the indoor spaces. The warm tones of the limestone floors and wood ceilings are enhanced by the soft colors in the Donghia furniture. The walls are hand-trowelled venetian plaster or stacked stone. Wool and silk area rugs by Scott Group.

A.HICKMAN DesignThe homeowners recently moved from California and wanted a “modern farmhouse” with lots of metal and aged wood that was timeless, casual and comfortable to match their down-to-Earth, fun-loving personalities. They wanted to enjoy this home themselves and also successfully entertain other business executives on a larger scale. We added furnishings, rugs, lighting and accessories to complete the foyer, living room, family room and a few small updates to the dining room of this new-to-them home.
