Denise Quade DesignA pass through was designed between the sunken family room and kitchen bar. Two entrances and a pass through ensures that conversations and people flow easily through both rooms when the family is entertaining. It also allows the light from both spaces to flood the entire area.

A warm inviting seating area with a layout that faces the TV which is hung above the gas fireplace. The gas insert is surrounded by marble tile. A tray ceiling was added for architectural interest.

Urso DesignsThis comfortable sitting room provides space for reading and TV viewing on the second floor of the owner's home. A small bedroom was converted into this cozy room. The homeowner's Native American rug provided the inspiration for the design.
12/12 Architects & PlannersThis 1960s split-level has a new Family Room addition in front of the existing home, with a total gut remodel of the existing Kitchen/Living/Dining spaces. A walk-around stone double-sided fireplace between Dining and the new Family room sits at the original exterior wall. The stone accents, wood trim and wainscot, and beam details highlight the rustic charm of this home. Also added are an accessible Bath with roll-in shower, Entry vestibule with closet, and Mudroom/Laundry with direct access from the existing Garage.

Michael Molesky Interior DesignBrick red family room designed by Michael Molesky. Generous leather ottoman sits before a corduroy upholstered sofa. Green silk curtains accentuate the height of the room. Green repeated on the backs of the bookshelves. Reading lights on both sides.
Studio 76 Kitchens and BathsIntroducing cabinetry and floating shelves from the R. D. Henry Heartland line took this fireplace area from mediocre to marvelous! The Alder wood with Cornerstone stain and a midnight frost glaze is warm and classic. Under the Lincolnshire quartz counter by Cambria is a hidden wine cooler and also a bottle pullout drawer. The contemporary raised hearth is Fossil Brown quartz from MSI and the stone is Dry Stack Colorado Canyon Pencil.
Cynthia J. Hoffman Interior Design, Inc.The wood grain tiled wall at the opposite end of the room provides continuity. The pool table is in the center of the space between the TV sitting area and the bar and cocktail space.

A combination of open storage, closed storage featuring doors and drawers offers perfect storage solutions for this large family. The room seats eight people comfortably. The family room connects to the kitchen through a pass through at the kitchen bar, by stairs on one end leading to the kitchen, and a second staircase that leads to the mudroom, garage area.
