CairnsCraft Design & RemodelThe Family Room and Kitchen became one spacious area when the dividing walls were removed.
Belltown Design LLCRefreshing the fireplace was high on our to-do list! The fireplace is now a focal point in the house, and with this overhaul, it's newly crafted, dark wood mantel, Roycroft Green painted brick (by Sherwin Williams), and handmade tiles from Clayhaus are just the right elements to make this statement. These homeowners loved the Gustave Klimpt "Tree of Life" and we made the room shine with refinished hardwood flooring and the wood work refresh throughout. Trout Design StudioThe house hosts 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths with the master suite on the first level and 2 guest rooms, full bath and sitting area on the second level. The interior walls and ceilings of the public spaces are birch paneled to amplify the acoustical effect of the baby grand piano in the main living room. The custom made 4 foot diameter iron chandelier dominates the high volume of the main living room, with custom titanium ceiling fans circulating air to eliminate the need for supplemental heating and cooling in the house. The adjacent open kitchen-dining room plan filling out the view side of the main floor plan. The custom fabricated steel "Rooster Gate" was commissioned from and designed in collaboration with the famous, late french sculptor Lucien Ferrenbach who resided nearby with his artist wife BeBe. "LuLu" also created the sculptural deck railings, roof brackets fireplace tools and andirons as well as numerous landscape follies for the house.
Rebekah Nicole InteriorsThis lovingly restored Winnetka Heights Craftsman home was a pleasure to work on. My clients, a young married couple with two sweet pups, enjoy collecting unique items from their travels and loved ones and wanted to incorporate them in the design. This was a special project for me because it aligns with my philosophy that our home should be a reflection of who we are. My goal was to pair these bespoke collectibles with modern and new furnishings, fabrics, and fixtures to create a harmonized design that truly reflected their nostalgic and well-traveled style.
My approach involved enhancing the home’s character and charm while adding personalized details and modern touches. I reused preexisting furniture pieces, reupholstered chairs, and repurposed light fixtures to capitalize on sustainable and creative design all while focusing on strategic furniture placement and smart selections.
From the photographs taken by her father in the dining room to the old coins framed and labeled in the front room, each item in their home told a unique story. The final result was a cohesive and personalized space that my client can joyfully call their home, reflecting their unique style and love for travel and bespoke items.
