Jaeger & Ernst Custom Cabinetmakers
G. Stickley believed in the simple presentation with the mark of the craftsman evident. This powder room vanity is a perfect example of the simplicity and beauty of the Arts and Crafts style. The vanity features a wood panel surround with dovetail keys encasing the full-length mirror. The top is also paneled with a feel of a small Inglenook. Stickley used a unique process of fuming to change the white oak to a brown stained finish. The degree of darkness was controlled by the length of the fuming process. Thompson Remodeling
We enjoyed remodeling this condo bath in Grand Rapids for our clients who were looking to create a space in warm earthy tones with a mission style aesthetic.
We completely remodeled the space from top to bottom replacing a small shower stall with a brand new spacious walk in tile shower, added a beadboard ceiling, new vanity and countertop, vanity mirror, lighting and flooring. The shower has an easy reach in valve so that you can turn it on without getting wet, a grab bar and half wall for support, a railhead and handheld shower sprayer, and a built-in niche for shampoos and soaps.
Our client's favorite part of the remodel is the ceiling and their new mirror and lighting over the vanity!
Impala Kitchens and Bathrooms
A few years ago we completed the kitchen renovation on this wonderfully maintained Arts and Crafts home, dating back to the 1930’s. Naturally, we were very pleased to be entrusted with the client’s vision for the renovation of the main bathroom, which was to remain true to its origins, yet encompassing modern touches of today.
This was achieved with patterned floor tiles and a pedestal basin. The client selected beautiful tapware from Perrin and Rowe to complement the period. The frameless shower screen, freestanding bath plus the ceramic white wall tile provides an open, bright “feel” we are all looking for in our bathrooms today. Our client also had a passion for Art Deco and personally designed a Shaving Cabinet which Impala created from blackwood veneer. This is a great representation of how Impala working with its clients makes a house a home.
