Saikley ArchitectsThis project is the rebuild of a classic Craftsman bungalow that had been destroyed in a fire. Throughout the design process we balanced the creation of a house that would feel like a true home, to replace the one that had been lost, while managing a budget with challenges from the insurance company, and navigating through a complex approval process.

Archaeo ArchitectsThe clients wanted a “solid, old-world feel”, like an old Mexican hacienda, small yet energy-efficient. They wanted a house that was warm and comfortable, with monastic simplicity; the sense of a house as a haven, a retreat.
The project’s design origins come from a combination of the traditional Mexican hacienda and the regional Northern New Mexican style. Room proportions, sizes and volume were determined by assessing traditional homes of this character. This was combined with a more contemporary geometric clarity of rooms and their interrelationship. The overall intent was to achieve what Mario Botta called “A newness of the old and an archaeology of the new…a sense both of historic continuity and of present day innovation”.
The Stove Shop Fireplace CenterThis is the Encore wood burning stove by Vermont Castings. It will produce over 50,000 BTU's warming over 1500 sq.ft. It is shown in a very popular red enamel. This is a wonderful way to have a fireplace feel without all the heat loss of a traditional fireplace.
Wooster Design InspirationsCentered on the 11' high living room wall is a propane fireplace with a rounded and tapered fireplace surround. Pine planks and faux beams give the ceiling a warm, rustic presence. Photo by V. Wooster.

Custom Tile & Design, Ltd.This American Arts and Crafts style fireplace looks absolutely beautiful. The tile design and color gives it a warm natural feel. The pattern around the opening is mirrored on the hearth.
Style RebootHandmade and painted Rookwood tile graces the fireplace as a centerpiece of the living room. Built in cabinets with seeded glass fronts house a curated collection of objets. The cabinets and pillars delineate an enclosed room as in the classic Craftsman style.
Tamara Heather Interior Design, LLCTamara Heather Interior Design solved the challenge of where to put the televison in this 1920's home, by designing a custom Arts and Crafts style TV/media cabinet that acts as a room divider and defines the entry. Additional updates included a new coffered ceiling, lighting and new paint colors throughout the home.
