小笠原建築研究室玄関ポーチより続いて淡路の窯変タイルを敷き詰めた土間空間．東側のお庭と掃き出し窓を全開することで一体化するエントランス空間です．そこは単なる三和土ではなく多目的に使える半屋外空間のようなユニークな場所．無垢の梁にハンモックを下げてくつろぎや遊びの場にもなります．内部空間と続く大きな開口部には引き込みの雪見障子を設置し，開ければ土間空間を介して庭まで繋がる広がりを感じさせる心地良い住まいです．

Shuster Design AssociatesThe entryway is bright and inviting with exotic wood, luminous color and textures that hint towards the rest of the home's decor.
今村設計舎玄関脇には杉の厚板で拵えたベンチを据えています。靴の脱ぎ履きが主目的ですが、それだけでなく、買い物帰りに荷物を置く台にもなりますし、ちょっとした玄関での雑談の際にも便利です。

造園・庭造り専門店【新美園】埋け込み型の燈篭を自然に見せる為には、小さな面積の中でも地面に表情を付ける事が大切となりました。
そこに昔から据えられていた様な地面を再現する為、コンクリートや舗装材を使って雨水で削られた土の様なうねりを付けてあります。 よく見ないと解りづらい部分ですが、遠目から何気なく眺めた際に、屋外と室内の違和感の様な物を感じさせない事が最優先と致しました。
高低差を付けた庭石組みで野趣を感じる組み付けを致しておりますが、小振りな庭石ですので圧迫感も無く上品にまとまります。
