Forward Design Build RemodelOur client’s goal was to work on some of the remaining spaces of the home that had not yet been remodeled to the aesthetic of the homeowners.
They were seeking a more cohesive design element throughout the home and were very much in need of more functional spaces with better storage.
By eliminating the built-in tub in the primary bathroom we were able to expand the footprint of the shower to the limits of the skylight for a sinuous transition.
We added a tall storage cabinet for bath items, linens and also the concealed housing for the steam shower components.
The vanity was extended to the window for more storage and a second sink making the shared space much more enjoyable. The high end finishes of marble, quarter sawn white oak, and terracotta tiles helped elevate the feel of the space to be in line with the rest of the primary suite.
In the basement, finishing out some of the unfinished space with bright, clean, and low maintenance finishes helped to expand the livable footprint of the basement and created the perfect opportunity for a very fun “tiny house”.
This, along with an updated and fully finished living space, created a very inviting and comfortable family space for adults and children to enjoy together.
The laundry room turned out beautifully with a soft and interesting palette. We utilized every corner of the room to facilitate laundry basket storage, a fold-down folding table, open and closet storage and hidden hanging rod for drying clothes.
Paxton Place DesignWe brought the outdoors in with this playful mini home facade. With a working dutch door that leads you into a small play space, this area is sure to entertain the little ones.
Laura Lee HomeFor a canine loving family, a dog themed playroom was the logical choice. With two boys and a girl, the gender neutral theme works for all of the kids. The large stainless steel table and tufted banquette provide a place for snacks and family game night. Decorative awnings were created with a colorful abstracted fabric in orange, yellow, white, and lavender. Double doors open to a covered second floor porch overlooking a green space.
Adaptiv DCThe myWall product provides children with a creative and active wall unit that keeps them entertained and moving. The wall system combines both storage, display and play to any room. Stem toys and shelves are shown on the wall. Any item can be moved to any position. Perfect for a family room with multiple ages or multiple interests.
Michael McKinley and Associates, LLCThe boys can climb the walls and swing from the ceiling in this playroom designed for indoor activity. When the toys are removed it can easily convert to the party barn with two sets of mahogany double doors that open out onto a patio in the front of the house and a poolside deck on the waterside.
Tallon Perry InteriorsA fabulous playroom to swing in a chair and dream dreams, sofa to relax and watch favourite TV shows and films, or table to get creative and crafty - definitely a place of fun, dreams and creativity - what a lucky little girl!

Coast to Coast Design, LLCThis wall was intentionally left with a single bookcase (fastened to the wall) and moveable toys. The idea being that if later this room needs to become a bedroom, the toys can move and a bed placed here.
Lauren Levant InteriorThe soaring cathedral ceilings and warm exposed beams were the only features to speak of in this non-descript open landing. Off the hallway near the kids’ rooms, its small size and open layout made it something in between a hallway and a room. While most might consider a TV or office nook for this space, its adjacency to the children’s quarters inspired the designer toward something more imaginative. Inspired by the bright open space, this design achieves a sort of Balinese treehouse aesthetic – and all of it is designed specifically for fun.
Playful hanging beds swing freely on sisal rope, creating a beckoning space that draws in children and adults alike. The mattresses were filled especially with non-toxic, non-petroleum natural fiber fill to make them healthy to sleep and lounge on – and encased in removable, washable organic cotton slipcovers. As the children are young, the floor space (finished in non-toxic lacquer) is kept clear and available for sprawling play. Large storage benches topped with walnut seats keep toys and books well organized, and ready for action at any time.
