Joy Street DesignThe owner of this Texas townhome is a young fashionista who needed assistance updating the dated kitchen and main floor while still keeping true to her Texas roots. We closed the entry into the kitchen and opened up the space to the dining room to create an open space plan. Adding blue-gray cabinets and lots of gorgeous hardware made this a kitchen she could be proud to own.

Curated NestThis nursery began in an empty white-box room with incredible natural light, the challenge being to give it warmth and add multi-functionality. Through floral motifs and hints of gold, we created a boho glam room perfect for a little girl. We played with texture to give depth to the soft color palette. The upholstered crib is convertible to a toddler bed, and the daybed can serve as a twin bed, offering a nursery that can grow with baby. The changing table doubles as a dresser, while the hanging canopy play area serves as a perfect play and reading nook.

Etheredge Design Associates, Inc.Converting a home office into a nursery for a growing family presented some interesting challenges because of the spatial limitations. Originally, the space housed an enclosed side porch in this small 1940's post war cottage style home. During the planning stage, the decision was made that the design elements of the nursery would be consistent with those previously used in the refurbished home…a soft, sophisticated mix of traditional furnishings accented with contemporary styled pieces and elements set within a monochromatic color scheme. Knowing that the expected child was a girl enabled the exploration of a full range of feminine options. To maximize style, unify the space, and preserve the impression of childlike innocence a decision was reached to use minimalist colors. Winter Morning coats the walls with just a hint of pink as seen in the sky at sunrise. Texture is introduced in a blush linen; its hue was chosen to increase spatial perception within this compact nursery. The same linen covers the crib bumper pads and upholsters the small scale glider. Blush is repeated in the chenille braid on the bumper pads, the pleat closures for the tailored striped silk crib skirt and, again, on the trim of the stripped silk drapery panels which are hung to the ceiling adding visual height and providing yards of gentle softness to the area. Antique botanicals from the owner's childhood provide femininity and a connection to the past. Mounted from the ceiling is a small glazed chandelier with clear crystal and rose quartz pendants perfectly suited for the little charmer who will occupy this room. The space may be small in size, but it is large in style, functionality, and filled with love.
Little Crown InteriorsThis boy's nursery is modern with clean lines and a masculine feel. We had to get creative with placing the furniture in this design because the room is triangular in shape. The color palette for this nursery is primarily white and gray. For a bit of contrast we added navy details throughout the room. The client fell in love with a super versatile crib in white with acrylic details. We opted for a custom dresser with a changing table tray to get the perfect fit and color. One of my favorite pieces in this space is the light-colored modern rocking chair, which is compact yet comfortable. We used mixed metallics in this space so the chrome base of the rocker ties in with gold detail on the side table. Even the cozy textured gray rug has metallic details. The storage bench with a surprise pop of color doubles as additional seating. We installed two white shelving units on both sides of the bench for a peaceful, symmetrical look and a display for decor and toys. The major statement penguin photograph was a favorite of my client! It makes for a playful artistic focal point and I love that is versatile enough to grow with the child and space.

Gail Green InteriorsThe Nursery is decorated with a focus on combining old and new sensibilities: white wrought iron canopy crib and table, antique toy horse, paneled walls with bevelled mirrors, little chairs an table, stenciled floors, French fabrics, and outfit for the baby's first summer outing.The nursery exemplifies the best that is about country living: the newness of things just arrived and the history of things past. That is, this space illustrates how modern inventions can fit comfortably within the idioms of the past. So, a contemporary crib, albeit traditionally styled, is surrounded by both antique toys and furniture. The carpet, table and chairs are modern and combine beautifully with the antique baby carriage and rocking horse.
Builders Glass of Bonita and The Glass ShoppeThe feature Wall was done with Stikwood. The unexpected Brass Light fixture is from West Elm. The oversized Giraffe adds some whimsical drama.
CJC InteriorsThis modern farmhouse bedroom features a metal bedframe and custom pillows, with custom-built white oak nightstands by Carver Junk Company. The dresser and lingerie chest were finished in a white lacquer with card catalog pulls to modernize the style.
MODEL DESIGN INC.Custom chandelier with pink sea glass and gold accents adorn this sweet nursery. Custom window seat, pillows, and roman shades complete this sweet look.
nest interiorsCoral + Mint + Gold Nursery
This eclectic, shabby chic space features custom bedding combined with a gorgeous gold + white vintage crib and a beautiful repurposed aqua dresser. A cozy nook was created by a delicate sisal rug, faux sheepskin, a sheer canopy, and decorative throw pilllows. Festive paper lanterns and coral + burlap bunting complete the space.

YouthfulNestThis tiny 50 sq. foot nursery was created with a temporary wall in a rental apartment in NYC, NY. Instead of putting up a simple temporary wall it was designed with open storage and space to tuck away a changing table.

YouthfulNestThis minimalist, boho nursery has all the must-haves with tons of personal and custom touches from grandfather's guitar on the wall to the custom hanging book shelf.
DesignbyRuchiI was enlisted to design a nursery for first time parents. Our starting point was white and greys and a love for elephants. The room is small with high ceilings and we had to make every inch counts… sounds familier, I know. Material pallette for this nursery is so textural and swoonworthy. With a feature bubble chandelier anchoring the room and a mix of shagreen, velvet, aged and acrylic, we created a very modern feature nursery. I create this feature wall by installing this beautiful wallpaper. The high ceilings in the apartment really make the space look and feel larger than it is. The ceiling height called for a custom statement chandelier. And this beautiful crib with upholstered side panels and aged brass legs. The room is grounded by this plush performance rug in soft white. I love how different greys and whites and textures unite the space!!
