Michelle Yorke Interior Design LLCOur Bellevue studio created a calm, peaceful sanctuary in this beautiful Sammamish home for our busy clients and their young children. We chose a neutral palette with pops of blues, greens, and wood tones to create a warm coastal appeal. In the living room, elegant furniture and comfortable fabrics create a charming, welcoming vibe. The primary bedroom is designed as a sanctuary for relaxation with cozy furnishings, soft colors, and a hint of greenery. Meanwhile, in the kids' bedrooms, we chose playful colors and cute decor that create a cheerful ambiance. The open-concept kitchen and family living room have a bright, airy feel, making it a great place for warm get-togethers. We also added a fun and functional office space with plenty of storage space for files and documents.

SynonymousPaola took astronomy in college and enjoyed that course a lot. For a long while now, she's been wanting to create a scheme centered around astronomy, knowing a nursery or child’s bedroom would be the ideal spaces for this. Our approach for themed spaces is to introduce the “elements” in a subtle way as to give the hint that indeed this room is “celestial themed” but it‘s not obvious. First we chose the awesome shagreen wallpaper, not a conventional choice, but works so well in imitating that “rocky” feel of the moon. From there, we added the geometric prints, which reference science, math, planets? We just didn’t want to add actual planet prints because we still wanted the room to feel sophisticated. All the little details like the moon throw pillow and stary velvet fabric on the ottoman are genius.
Little Crown InteriorsThis nursery was designed for my client in Santa Monica who wanted something expressly modern and unique. She fell in love with a gorgeous acrylic crib, and we pulled the rest of the design from that. All of the furniture is sleek and modern, and the room is light and bright.
