Alexander Butler | Design Services, LLCThis is the Vanity from our Master Suite Reconfiguration Project in Tribeca. Waterworks 'Henry' Fixtures were used throughout in Burnished Brass, which will age beautifully over time. Our GC developed a custom medicine cabinet with a metal frame to match the fixtures perfectly. Shaker Panels with a stepped detail, metal frames & applied mouldings set up a perfectly proportioned composition. Crown moulding was installed set off from the wall, creating a shadow gap, which is an effective tool in not only creating visual interest, but also eliminating the need for unsightly caulked points of connection, and the likelihood of splitting. The custom vanity was topped with a Neolith Estatuario product that has the look and feel of natural Statuary Stone, but better performance from a hardness and porosity point of view. Kelly Wearstler 'Utopia' Sconces and Shades of Light 'Moravian Star' surface lights were chosen to add a bit of flair to the understated transitional aesthetic of the project.
smarterBATHROOMS+The small ensuite packs a punch for a small space. From a double wash plane basin with cabinetry underneath to grey terrrazo tiles and black tapware. Double ceiling shower heads gave this room a dual purpose and the mirrored shaving cabinets enhance the sense of space in this room.
Floors Showroom and GalleryTaking its inspiration from Metro series, Ambiance™ is offered in a 12”x24” size and in two finishes for a terrific look. The beauty of high gloss or polished products may also be susceptible to scratching that is more visible on the surface of the tile.
Eric Reinholdt, ArchitectThe master bath seen here is compact in its footprint - again drawing from the local boat building traditions. Tongue and groove fir walls conceal hidden compartments and feel tailored yet simple.
The hanging wall cabinet allow for a more open feeling as well.
The shower is given a large amount of the floor area of the room. A curb-less configuration with two shower heads and a continuous shelf. The shower utilizes polished finishes on the walls and a sandblasted finish on the floor.

Artistic TileTraditional Home's Hamptons Designer Showhouse was a roaring success this year! Thanks to builder, Frank Bodenchak, and our talented NYC Flagship Design Associate, Silvana Romano, our tile added a unique look and feel to each bathroom. In this master, our Max Fine Porcelain Statuary achieves a refined stone-look in large format panels.
