board onUsing a traditional farmhouse inspired painted board and batten wainscoting with an elaborate crown molding cap, this bathroom was added on the second floor to service each of the bedrooms. A clean marble tile floor grounds the design with a period correct touch reminiscent of some of the first indoor bathrooms many years ago. The antique cast iron claw foot tub was purchased, refurbished and re-glazed to give it back its original luster, paired with a shiny new chrome hand shower and spigot. The shutter over the window was original to the home, found covered in dust and hidden away in the corner of the attic. Cleaned, repainted and re-mounted, it now provides a beautiful source of privacy and character to a bathroom window.
Frame to Finish Remodeling
This is a bathroom that is part of a full attic remodel. We built two doomers off the roof line. this gave the clients an added 1300 sq/ft in living space. They gained two bedrooms, sitting room and bathroom. Pictures where taking by Mark Roeder with Frame to Finish remodeling.
Hawthorne Tile
This 1926 Portland home was in desperate need of restoration; especially the bathrooms. The homeowners’ desire was to stay true to the authentic tile colors, shapes and layouts that were popular in the Art Deco period of the late 1920’s and 1930’s. Unfortunately, none of the original tile was salvageable with the exception of several small, floral medallions. The original floral medallions became the inspiration for the cheerful blue and yellow master bathroom and were used as accents throughout the room. Hawthorne Tile worked with our partners at Pratt & Larson on this unique project.

What a great shower! frameless shower doors, an alcove to store shampoos and other shower items. The corner seat is very functional and very convenient. Beautiful white and soft yellow master bath.
