Kyle BuildStatement wallpaper and a custom, frameless beveled glass mirror are just a few key elements in this gorgeous master bathroom refresh. We used a moody navy to give new life to old tile, and installed a bright white vanity to to provide a fresh feel. Brushed Gold lighting and faucets deliver a beautiful accent for a finished look.

This client came to us in a bit of a panic when she realized that she really wanted her bathroom to be updated by March 1st due to having 2 daughters getting married in the spring and one graduating. We were only about 5 months out from that date, but decided we were up for the challenge.
The beautiful historical home was built in 1896 by an ornithologist (bird expert), so we took our cues from that as a starting point. The flooring is a vintage basket weave of marble and limestone, the shower walls of the tub shower conversion are clad in subway tile with a vintage feel. The lighting, mirror and plumbing fixtures all have a vintage vibe that feels both fitting and up to date. To give a little of an eclectic feel, we chose a custom green paint color for the linen cabinet, mushroom paint for the ship lap paneling that clads the walls and selected a vintage mirror that ties in the color from the existing door trim. We utilized some antique trim from the home for the wainscot cap for more vintage flavor.
The drama in the bathroom comes from the wallpaper and custom shower curtain, both in William Morris’s iconic “Strawberry Thief” print that tells the story of thrushes stealing fruit, so fitting for the home’s history. There is a lot of this pattern in a very small space, so we were careful to make sure the pattern on the wallpaper and shower curtain aligned.
A sweet little bird tie back for the shower curtain completes the story...

L Carter InteriorsFor the bathroom, we updated the existing layout with finishes to complement the style of the kitchen, with matching dark charcoal custom cabinetry by Sozo Studio and bright white subway tiles for the shower. The bathroom is split into 2 rooms, common of the era's architectural design style. The mosaic Ann Sacks marble flooring became the show stopper of the space by adding a unique yet classic bit of elegance. The Robern mirror and recessed medicine cabinet provides even face lighting and an electrical outlet inside for stored items.
Stalburg DesignThe experience of entering the master bath for Her is one filled with elegance and drama. The copper penny round tile floor leads past a pair of Euro Glass doors, with a shower room to the left and a water closet to the right. Mitered Tile walls wrap each corner and lead into the main vanity space. The main viewpoint lands directly on our Bain Ultra freestanding tub, complete with air jets and heated backrests. Luxury at its finest!

Phoenix Home RemodelingJeff and Lisa were a pleasure to work with, from the start. As we met to determine a design goal, we began to see that they wanted a warm and inviting bathroom. Their existing vanity was perfect to fit in their design.
Changing the wall paint from a pale yellow to grey allows the neutral tile to be the spotlight. In this project we removed the oversized short pony wall and bathtub. The dated travertine tile and flooring.
We built a raised drying platform, pony wall and used the existing window shelf as a new seat bench. The tiles used in this project offer a soft and calming retreat at the end of each day.
The shower wall tile is Ash from the Pave collection and the dry off and seat bench tile is Glow from the Touch series from Arizona Tile. Both collections are 12X24. The shower pan is a neutral pebble placed for a relaxing shower. Take a look at the before and after on this Ahwatukee master bathroom remodel.
The rain shower head is from The Delta Faucet company and is complimentary to the other metal components in the bathroom. A large niche in the new pony wall provides function and a place for large bottles to be stored.
Lastly, we installed a new floor throughout the master suite. The tile is called Porta Nouva from Arizona Tile. The color is a light greyish brown called Quercia. It was laid in a random pattern to look like a real wood floor.

Finesse Design RemodelingThis award-winning whole house renovation of a circa 1875 single family home in the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington DC provides the client with an open and more functional layout without requiring an addition. After major structural repairs and creating one uniform floor level and ceiling height, we were able to make a truly open concept main living level, achieving the main goal of the client. The large kitchen was designed for two busy home cooks who like to entertain, complete with a built-in mud bench. The water heater and air handler are hidden inside full height cabinetry. A new gas fireplace clad with reclaimed vintage bricks graces the dining room. A new hand-built staircase harkens to the home's historic past. The laundry was relocated to the second floor vestibule. The three upstairs bathrooms were fully updated as well. Final touches include new hardwood floor and color scheme throughout the home.
