Karyn Dismore InteriorsAnother crazy transformation for us with this remodel. It used to be a coat closet with the tiniest toilet and pedestal sink on the other side. Knocking down the wall between the two gave us the real estate to create a nice linear shower and much more open toilet and vanity area. Perfect for right off the clients home office which can be used as an extra bedroom if needed. White beveled subway tile is married nicely with the black and white geometric tile and we think that'll be a relationship for life! The black industrial style shower system gives a nod to a more masculine vibe and the wall mounted faucet with the black vessel bowl sink and toilet is the ultimate touch!
Durham Designs & Consulting, LLCThe design of the cabin began with the client’s discovery of an old mirror which had once been part of a hall tree. Painted In a rustic white finish, the orange pine walls of the cabin were painted by the homeowners on hand using a sock and rubbing paint with a light hand so that the knots would show clearly and you would achieve the look of a lime-washed wall. A custom vanity was fashioned to match the details on the antique mirror and a textured iron vessel sink sits atop. Polished nickel faucets, cast iron tub, and old fashioned toilet are from Herbeau. The antique French Iron bed was located on line and brought in from California. The peeling paint shows the layers of age with French blue, white and rust tones peeking through. An iron chandelier adorned with Strauss crystal and created by Schonbek hangs from the ceiling and matching sconces are fastened into the mirror.

MMAD ArchitectureDark floor tiles laid in a herringbone pattern wrap up the shower wall and into the skylight over the shower. Timber joinery , marble benchtop, full height mirror and Venetian plaster add contrast and warmth to the bathroom.

Braswell Design+BuildThe black Boral Cultured Brick wall paired with a chrome and marble console sink creates a youthful “edge” in this teenage boy’s bathroom. Matte black penny round mosaic tile wraps from the shower floor up the shower wall and contrasts with the white linen floor and wall tile. Careful consideration was required to ensure the different wall textures transitioned seamlessly into each other.

Burrow & NestIn keeping with the age of the house, circa 1920, an art deco inspired bathroom was installed in classic black and white. Brass and black fixtures add warmth, as does the metallic ceiling. Reeded glass accents are another nod to the era, as is the hex marble floor. A custom bench and niche were installed, working around the old bones of the house. A new window was installed, widening the view, but high enough to provide privacy. Board and batten provide interest and texture to the bold black walls.
GM Design & DevelopmentClient wanted a bold statement for their countertop. We decided on a Calacutta with a lot of character that paired well with the custom millwork.
Assured Accuracy, LLCThis hall bath was the perfect spot to make a fun statement. The new bath features heated flooring, new chandelier, new soaking tub with tile surround and wallpaper. Because the homeowner is a bath lover, they opted to not install a shower here, but instead use the space to create a fun, spa-like feel.
