Angela Todd Studios | Portland, ORWe collaborated with T.H.E. Remodel Group to define a space plan that opened up the existing hall bathroom and entered the neighboring bedroom. This space allowed us to double the size of the shower and added needed closet storage, two vanity sinks, custom cabinetry with storage and radiant heating. The client was fond of contemporary yet classic design, and we settled on classic Carrera marble for the countertops, with chrome accents. To give the bathroom a bit of contemporary punch we selected an unexpected Sombera yellow for the walls. To coordinate with the vanity, we chose for the master shower a gorgeous easy-care porcelain tile reminiscent of Carrera marble. This new generation tile is almost impossible to detect porcelain versus natural stone, but allows the homeowners to enjoy zero maintenance and easy clean up.

Au centre, trône majestueusement une baignoire îlot, évoquant les spas haut de gamme, où chaque bain se transforme en une expérience délicieuse, presque royale. Le choix de cette baignoire n'était pas anodin. Avec ses courbes gracieuses et sa finition impeccable, elle est le point focal de la pièce, invitant quiconque la regarde à s'y immerger, à se détendre et à se déconnecter du monde extérieur.
Mais ce n'est pas tout. Cette salle de bain est également dotée d'une double douche, renforçant cette sensation d'espace et de luxe. Chacune des douches a été conçue pour offrir une expérience incomparable, rappelant les douches des suites les plus prestigieuses des hôtels internationaux. Leur taille généreuse, conjuguée à des finitions de haute qualité, garantit un confort optimal et un véritable moment d'évasion.
Esthétiquement, les matériaux choisis, les couleurs et les luminaires ont été méticuleusement sélectionnés pour renforcer cette impression d'opulence. Tout, des carreaux au robinet, a été pensé dans le moindre détail pour refléter l'excellence.

JCR Renovation and Design Strong lines and a bold, thick, accent strip contrast the elegance of the sliding 'frame-less' glass door in this contemporary styled bath remodel, and the brown mosaic adds a hint of Mediterranean warmth to the design. The breadth of the glass door lends a further impression of expanse to the space and shows off the full surround tiled shower.
This installation called for a custom sized shower base and seat, for which we generally use a polystyrene composite do to its infallible mold and moisture resistance. The entire base is sealed then with a silicone paint adhering mold resistant cloth tape into edges and corners. Tec super flex mortar, grout and caulk were used to ensure maximum expansion capability. The flooring (not pictured here) was installed with matching 12"x12" tile, making a total of four different tile sizes, not including the bullnose border. -JCR Development LLC
